That ball joint tool comes in handy especially when the knuckle is on the car. And next time you can heat up the race with a little torch and it would slide right out instead of cutting. Looks amazing though!!!

Good job man but whenever u press hubs in again put the socket on the inside race cause it can pop out the way you did it

Since you said the extended studs don’t work with aftermarket, did they fit in the Timken hubs?
@Deemossi10 ай бұрын
I used everything oem so I wouldn’t have to wry about fitment issues . The timken wheel bearing and extended studs worked perfectly . I don’t know about aftermarket ,

Do you need to put the race cover back on the hub or can you press it back in without it ?
@Deemossi10 ай бұрын
I think you’re referring to the brake shield , I opted not to put them back on . If you are keeping it, install before pressing it back on
@dexmeetsdexter10 ай бұрын
@@Deemossi no not the brake shield. The race around the hub. You used the grinder to cut off the race on the wheel hub. I want to know if you put them back on or just leave it without the race
@Deemossi10 ай бұрын
@dexmeetsdexter oh thought you know the race comes from the wheel bearing . yea so once you remove the old race . The new wheel bearing will have a new race to hold the bearing on
@dexmeetsdexter10 ай бұрын
@@Deemossiat 8:40 that race I’m talking about. Do I need to get a new wheel hub that comes with the race already pressed ? Or do I need to install the race back onto the wheel hub ? In the video you cut the race and it seems you didn’t install them back on
@Deemossi10 ай бұрын
@dexmeetsdexter the race comes from the wheel bearing . I don’t know how else to say or explain it
