Canyon facial expression is the same as in the 2021 World Championship Finals. He was clapped by Jiejie in this Finals and today was gapped by Pyosik. Also Kiin couldn't abuse PerfecT in lane like Zeus did. If you're playing against rookie as veteran player this rookie shouldn't breathe in lane.

I think this was an off day from GENG over anything else. I cannot wait for the time that carry junglers like Nidalee specifically become meta so we can finally see Canyon on such picks. I'm getting tired watching him play Sejuani (and the sort) for 3 years now. Kiin wasn't given really good picks to abuse Perfect, as Udyr is just a lane bully that can only have tempo, while Gwen needs time to outscale Ksante and lane was also heavily impacted by Pyosik. Also, Perfect being a rookie means that you can see differences in performance in skill every single passing game. Look at Peyz last year; his first series against T1, he was basically shaking, while in the second series, he didn't do as well. Week 2, he was hard carrying games on Varus. Just because Zeus might have abused Perfect a couple of weeks ago doesn't mean Kiin is playing against the same player.

Canyon was matched so when his laners couldn’t have an advantage (top gap tbh, mid even and stale, bot lost game 2 to overforce and stalled out g1 vs enemy top) he wasn’t able to find an angle. Pyosik is a 1 man show though - he is beryl creative but also goes beryl inting sometimes too

Xin useless champ but canyon did his best and even insec beryl under tower in g1. G2 j4 is actually a good pick but he over forced 2x on bot lvl 2/3 dive (team call) and chasing beryl mid after he buffered out of j4 R

Pyosik is good, he was just a bit incosistent during his DRX days, but his short time in NA made him more confident and consistent. The reason he couldn't perform as well in NA (he did quite well honestly) is because this is a team game. You can be 200 IQ but if your team is 50 IQ, it doesn't matter. Think about it this way. What is better? A team that every player has 150 IQ, or a team with one player of 200 and the rest being 100? Obviously 150 IQ team would be much more cohesive and successful. Watch how well Pyosik did at Worlds against T1 for example, he nearly hard carried the game by himself, but the team was just too heavy.

How come whenever GENG loses a game, there is a bigger amount of comments in these videos? The amount of hate GENG gets is unreal. Regardless, this series felt similar to the BLG loss at Worlds. Super sus drafts. Karma mid was useless the whole game, as was the Udyr - Xin combo that couldn't get anything done the entire game. I think it might also be time to leave Azir on the side until futher notice. Not much of a consequential defeat, it's regular season after all, we all know at least the top 4 teams that will be in playoffs, and if there's any time to actually experiment with drafts against strong teams, this is the time. Let's hope GENG doesn't pull similar tactics in important games, like against BLG.
