what do we manufacture here? movies. do you want to build factories in Los Angeles? Do you? Where are you gonna put those? Where is the infrastructure for? What kind of factories? yes, America needs manufacturing, but it doesn't need to be in Los Angeles. There's no place for it to go. The movies have been made here for over 100 years. We need this industry here.

@@thunderousapplausehow about we build AI and that will solve hollywood’s problem. Studios get all the tax breaks without hiring as many people. Have you heard of Aerospace? Defense? Southern California needs to go back to its roots indeed. Maybe not building EVs, but R&D for weapons and AI is the future. And just like any other flailing industry, we tell our kids NOT to go into that sinking industry and instead, learn something else. And just like any industry that becomes obsolete, the workers better train themselves to do something else. Better do it sooner than later.

Did you know Breaking Bad was supposed to be filmed in the Inland Empire but Jerry Brown was making it difficult with all the taxes. The show ended up being filmed in Albuquerque New Mexico. The studio was so grateful for the City of Albuquerque’s warm hospitality such as no high taxes, that the studio posted billboards throughout the city thanking them.

Hollywood doesn’t need tax credits. The state already offers pristine coast line, beautiful mountains, and gorgeous views. If studios don’t want to pay top dollar to film here, to hell with them! If anything, we need to bring back Tesla and Space X. They’re more important to humanity than some stupid time wasting second rate clips.

So many big productions are shooting in London now for half the budget already with cleaner streets and great facilities. Plus the movie going public prefers streaming at home. You don’t need name actors or multi million dollar budgets. Just support indie filmmakers who innovate and fix the damn housing crisis. Wait a minute! Isn't this giving the extremely rich tax breaks? I guess it's not OK if Hollywood flees the state too, but they've been going to Florida, S Carolina, and Canada for more and more of their filming and entertainment venues. It seems Ca hasn't been friendly to Hollywood either. This exodus has been going on for a while, and it's all because of high costs and greed by local cities and what they want to charge for permits. The fact that everything they need in Ca is about 42% more is another reason. Been a long time since you saw something filmed in San Francisco? That's because Feinstein banned filming there when she was Mayor. The reasons that industry is leaving Ca too, goes on and on.
