Haha, I've nearly owned mine for a year now also so I was interested to hear your thoughts. and as soon as you mentioned the heat, I laughed because its so true. The bike is brilliant until you're off road on a hot summers day and you've got those 2 massive cylinders roasting your nuts. Spot on review, I've had exactly the same experiences with mine. Also that Akro sounds mint!

Would be nice if they didn’t tack weld the baffles in. I believe it’s loud enough, but would love to hear it without the baffles.

This is what I wish Suzuki DL1050 was, something with a lot of power, but keeping all the usual Suzuki reliability, lack of heat, and so forth. The V-Strom is a fantastic machine for a more road-oriented bike, but it could use another 15-20 horsepower.

Had my 1090R for 5 years and still love it. They are heavy, but very capable bikes. The engine cooks my ass medium rare and the seat is not very comfortable. Replaced the fuel pump and the gas guage float does stick. Although there is a fix for it. Still love the bike.

Good riding. I did the two fuel filters following the video from Nerb1. Fixed my random fueling-cut-out issue for less than $80. Seems charcoal from the SAS can get pulled back into the tank if the bike is laid down (clogging the filters). At almost 30K miles now and had it since 3K miles. Power & suspension 👌

I did the Rottweiler SAS delete. Only have about 9k on mine so far, only issue I have been having is the fuel gauge sometimes randomly jumps for where the actual level is to empty and back again. I’ve seen a video on how to fix

Good video on the 1190. You’ve done some good riding in a year’s time. I just traded my Pan America for a 2018 1290 Super Adventure R that my local dealer had gotten in on a Pan Am trade, quite a while ago. About 4k on the clock. Can’t wait to ride the beast. I could already tell that the 21” front tire handles quite a bit differently than the 19” on the Pan Am. The KTM wasn’t even on my radar, I was wanting less electronics after the Pan Am. I think I’ll like the 1290 for my needs but if not I’ll look for a T-7 or 701/690. Safe travels!

@@sallhame Hi ...I was at a KTM dealer today...I asked how many fuel pumps they have sold for adventure bikes....he said zero...only the filter kits.
