@twistednemo7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, reliability has been an issue for me. But after my Duke's entire engine, two fuel pumps, display console and throttle body were replaced, it has had fewer troubles.
@twistednemo7 жыл бұрын
Sourav Roy Yes, mine, a friend's and many others I would see at the service centre. Mine is a 2012 Duke 200 so the fact that it is an early batch unit is also a factor. I have been careful about the fuel level too. They have been unreliable I'm general. A friend of mine just takes apart the stock pump and replaces the motor with that from Denso. That does the trick. Maybe next time. Yes, 2016 bikes had many improvements. The Duke 390 had many issues corrected like the valve bending and camshaft scoring issue. Many parts are super reliable now while others are just terrible. KTM is just a little better than RE that way.
@DearMajesty7 жыл бұрын
Yeah KTM are WILDLY unreliable....far worse than Ducati these days actually. Already several well-documented issues with the 390 motor. I owned a KTM 690 SMC not too long ago and it was a complete piece of crap. The first gen 690 engine is crap.... constantly stalling and bucking and kicking until 4,000 RPM. Frankly I don't even know how it left the factory like this...unridable. KTM uses two computers so it costs you a very cheap 2 grand to even attempt to fix the issue. Now onto the supermoto issues.....and ALL of them have this issue. All of them have a leaking gas tank, broken seat, melting turn signals, leaking gauge cluster. Not to mention that the suspension was not up to par and the transmission was garbage as well with false neutrals a common occurence. I wouldn't buy another KTM unless a model had been out for some time without any major issues (let the early adopters bite the bullet)...unfortunately this is not the case. KTM = Keep Taking Money
