Awesome bike and this looks like huge fun but sorry to be a complete bore here but this is said with the best of intentions and quite a few other experienced riders will feel the same way: 4:22 a car comes into view which wants to turn right to join the opposite oncoming lane. You decide to continue with your overtake... 4:27 you pass that car which luckily for you did not proceed with the turn because you would be dead. Sure you were back in your own lane at that point but it was a very fine if the car had made an aggressive entry to the road. Sure the bike is fun but don't drive hoping and praying that other motorists will drive flawlessly.

It's an automated red light, they have those in every village in Portugal. It's not made to stop any traffic or let pedestrians go, but to slow down traffic that was riding just a tiny bit more than 50km/h. Still, really not a good idea to just pass it at high speed

Hello Philippe, mine can come up pretty easy and high in 3th, even with TC on (TC will then put it down as easy as it came up) BUT, it all depends on outside temperature. The lower the temp, the easier it becomes. When the temp rises up to, let me say, 22° Celsius and higher, it wheelies much more difficult to even not in 3th. But when it's 13° Celsius it becomes a whole other beast... What also might help, is sitting further back, and an almost empty gas tank...

+Ton Verkleij Yes, traction control must be off. Suspension setting doesn't really matter and power setting at street or sport. Both work easily.

Your aggressive style could not be closer to mine. I bought the 2015 1290R and only put 800 miles on it. The bike is too small and I realize I don't like the naked feel. Sold the Duke and close to pulling the trigger on the 1290 Adventure T. I don't like the wind screen lines near the top. Is it less obstructive in person than appears on the video?

LF had a pretty bad crash that was basically his fault because he was going to fast to stop...it’s irrelevant that the car moved out into his lane, a good rider plans for the unexpected...that said, I hope he’s still alive

1290 Super Adventure has a safety flaw in its design, the motorcycle has a major safety problem. I bought mine six month ago and since day one I have been experiencing head wobble at speed ranging from 100 to 120 mph. I contacted the dealer and they said “there is a software upgrade regarding the head wobble” I took the motorcycle to the dealer, after the software upgrade I discovered that the four setting for the damping is not working any more there is not difference in the performance between sports, street, comfort or off-road.

Kev.. The problem it started with a head wobble at high speed. keep in mind that all the setting worked just fine for the front shucks, like comfort, sports or street. So I went to the dealer complaining about the head wobble they said that KTM had a recall regarding this issue and they have a software upgrade and I need to do the upgrade immediately. So I agree to there terms. But to my surprise the eliminate all the shocks setting except sports which the shucks are always hard, however that did eliminate some head wobble but the problem still exist.

I will publish the VIN# of the bike and all the info regarding the dealer info and messages. I'm tired of this bike I have all the right to state my opinion. THIS BIKE IS CRAP.. DON'T BUY IT.

Nic changing the front tire solves the problem. I checked lots of reviews with similar issue. No need for software update or anything else. Just a new tire. And sorry, but this bike is simply awesome!

I don't recommend this bike it has a design flaw. Head wobble at high speed is a well known issue.

Have the multistrada but looked at this one and the GT. I can not get used to the ugly styling of KTM. It all looks so clumsy put together.
