looking back at the crash, he did brake on top of a lot of tarmac marks, wonder if that part part of the track had any leftover crash debris or something else, he didnt brake that hard at 130kmh

Yep, never go for another lap after a day/ride. Track or street, or drag. Enjoy the experience for what it has been and don't try and squeeze more out of it. Rest, recover, and go again.

The gen3's are awesome and yes the frame is alot stiffer but the trellis frames of the gen2 is just sexy to me.

It has been known for the police to convict speeders based on their own footage. We are currently stuck in Europe, and we travel in and out of these areas / countries regularly. And will probably continue to do so for many years. And as SRT SPEEDY says, it is also the responsible thing to do. The speed limit on these particular roads is absurdly low, 70 or 80km/h in some places. So, I may have exceeded that - ever so slightly - on some occasions. Mr. Garrison is also right, there's an air of added mystery, no?

your crash wasn't the ktm's brakes. i have a 2018 version and the brakes allow me to do stupid things. the brakes are excellent.

The lack of refinement is one of the things I love most about the old SDRs. I am addicted to the violence. If you took away the snatchiness and improved the less than perfect suspension and electronics, you would have a far less interesting bike. If I wanted characterless performance I'd buy a BMW or a Honda. Each to their own though.

I noticed that too but there’s probably a few catalytic converters inbuilt to pass Euro 4/5 emissions. My Ducati 996 has old school upswept exhausts, looks good but cooks your legs and balls in city traffic. Wish I could deactivate rear cylinder when idling :)

My performance shop specializes in 🇺🇸 made black and orange v twins, and older Suzuki GSXR1100, and GS1100, but unfortunately I have personal reasons for NEVER owning a KTM. It's a shame Suzuki didn't keep the TL1000R, I could only imagine it with today's technology. Excellent video Sir. Thank you.

I had last year the 890r for 1 session, it's a very good bike, now I have the new 1290r and this bike is lot more of emotion! The 1290r ist the perfect bike for street!

Twins will always be ....twins ! They run out of steam at the top end. Are stonking in the middle....but it's still a twin !! There are only two engine configurations, triple and V4 !!

I just don't like the headlights. they look like ant antennas to me. or some mouth pincers on a insect. I don't mind the motocross inspired shape, just the led and orange ant antennas. I'm interested in either the ducati 1200s or this, and I'll have to test ride both but I just can't get over the headlights. It's like triumph and yamaha with their mosquito eyes..why everything gotta look like a wasp or some sort of insect.

I don’t like KTM , too bad quality used , and too much problems, it feels like you’re buying a prototype demo with to much problem and faults. I rather put my money on a trusted quality Japanese bike.

KTM nowadays is much better than in the past. As even seen in MotoGP, the company is on the rise as a top tier manufacturer. I'd argue that KTM is more reliable than Yamaha nowadays. Honda might be the definition of reliability too but they're so BORING. That's a fucking marriage bike. Sorry, I want lust and character. For that, you can't beat a Ducati, Aprilia, KTM and BMW.

Callum Altair well Lust and character is something Kawasaki have 😉 and yes Honda is indeed boring. The Italians make beautiful bikes! But they are to expensive and not to mention their service prices , and they got to much problems aswell. I love Kawasaki and their reliability , really cheap to service and almost impossible to wreck 😅 and quality is superb. I would love to own an H2 once in my lifetime. Need to save 39years to even afford one hahaha
