Torque is mind boggling. Those who are cribbing about this not faster than D790 don't have any idea how hard this pulls even in 3rd. Duke 790 calms down after 160kmph(goes till 230kmph but in gradual motion).but this Monstor just pulls like a diesel even after 200. Torque pull is so hard that neck hearts after a while. This is so exhausting to ride. Tuono on the other hand is more civilized or rather predictable in that matter.

People wondering why it isn't that much faster than The 790...Hello? Can't you see it trying to wheelie on 2nd gear while on high revs? You have to mind your clutch on a duke 390 in order for it not to pull up when dragging, just imagine with this monster! Props to the guy

Yeah with these bikes its at 200 plus you should compare. But on small back roads in corners, the 790 is proberly more fun. I have a streetfigher 175 hp 175 kg dry zx10r now. Would not mind a 790 with all those gadgets autoblipper and what now as next bike. Plus they are cheap. Power is not the most important thing in my book any more :-)

I tried to accelerate from 0-100km/h on 2016 Super Duke R, and it was quite scary, and I managed in 4:2 sec) so this results are very impressive, and it’s much easier to go fast on Duke 790, coz of electronics and accessibility of the power for most riders

You Are much faster With lounch Control, Wheely Control ON !, Slip on 3 in Track Mode and Gas handle in Track. Try it, you will see. I have also the 3.0 sdr 🙂 Ride Save !

​@@Metroxyt I have a Super Duke and cbr600rr. The problem with the Duke is first gear, so you have to shift into second gear before you get to 100km/h. The first gear on my CBR is good for 110km/h, so I feel I can launch better with that bike even though I have to rev it hard and slip the clutch just enough to stop the front wheel coming up. I've heard that it's better to launch the Duke in 2nd gear. I haven't tried it yet. I'm not sure how much it will wear the clutch.

krasses ding, die superduke 1290 für mich siehts fast so aus, als würde die latenz vom tacho, für etwas zu hohe messwerte sagen falls du wieder mal so ein video machst, würd ich eine app am handy verwenden, die 0-100 mit gps und stopuhr messen kann und vielleicht kannst du auch 100-200 machen, dass die ganzen klugscheißer hier sich nicht aufregen müssen, dass es sicher nur eine duke 790 und keine superduke 1290 war machst generell sehr geilen content und auch dieses video ist trotz der kurzen dauer keine ausnahme! mach weiter so und fahr vorsichtig bei den geschwindigkeiten!

Hey danke für deinen konstruktiven Kommentar! Der Tacho hat sich so ruckartig verändert weil der Vorderreifen in der Luft war und daher kein Messung vorhanden war. Aber du hast recht, der lcd Tacho ist sicher ein bisschen hinterher. Sobald ich die 1290 wieder habe mache ich das gern :)

Hey thanks for your comment! :) It was really hard for me to get the full power of the bike to the ground, this bike is so powerfull in the 1st and 2nd gear that the front wheel came up altough the launch and wheelie control was on. I will try to improve and will upload a new 0 - 100, im sure that the Bike can hit the 100 in about 3 Seconds

@@Metroxyt That explains it. I have test ride it , I know its bad-ass. I'm not sure but it supposed to never exceed 7% of wheel lift, so if the electronics works, should be safe to go full throttle. But don't just take my word for it because I don't even own the bike so I might be all wrong. Stay safe!

there is not much difference at 0-100, the power of the bike you see it after 130

Bikes are mostly limited to around 3 seconds 0-100 without adding some kind of stretch kit. There's only so fast you can accelerate before the front wheel goes vertical. From 100-250kmh the 1290 would absolutely crush the 790.

Someone experienced tell me Im wondering if i would see any effect if i installed a carbon wing at the front to increase downforce so i wouldnt wheelie in 2nd gear

During "low" speeds the so called canards don't do a whole lot against the front wheel from coming up after a launch. However When you're high speed cornering at 120-160km/h and accelerating out of corners, that's where the canards will help keep the front end down.

@@Metroxyt lc will blow your mind. I found it hard to just trust the electronics, but they do their job perfectly as long as you keep the throttle pinned all the way throughout the launch

@@Metroxyt just be aware that the front wheel will lift a little. Funny thing is, if you get scared and close the throttle, then open back up again, you might flip the thing if anti wheelie mode is deactivated :D
