Jorge, thank you. It’s pretty much wrapped up and let me tell you, the GET won’t disappoint. This thing rips. I’m waiting to do a final video once the suspension is back from getting some love. Stay tuned, couple more weeks.

Nice job on electrical routing, thanks for sharing this. Do you know if the ripper maps increase service intervals...and if Get, Slavens or Taco mentions any risks yet? My goal w my family's 350, 450 and 500 is to protect components from damage, especialy the engines longevity.

@code4performance
@code4performance Жыл бұрын
They are Heat Demon: slavensracing.com/shop/heat-demon-grip-heatershand-warmers-by-symtec/ You will not be able to install these under the ODI lock on grips. I ended up using a glue on style grip and using a Motion Pro throttle tube: slavensracing.com/shop/titan-throttle-tube-for-ktm-husaberg-by-motion-pro/

Hi Scott, love your videos, thank you. Did you make a harness to go from your fuse block up front? 4 wire, common ground? Thanks Tim
@code4performance
@code4performance Жыл бұрын
Tim, I did make a harness, encased in the typical black sheathing you find on many motorcycles. I purchased the wire sheath from Cycle Terminal.com as well as the fuse block parts. In the harness I ran a wire for battery positive for heated grips, a battery positive for the TT and another for the USB. I then ran a single, 16 gauge ground from the ground lead off the Taco Moto Acces. relay. Once this ground wire reached the area behind the headlight mask, I spliced three smaller ground 18 or 20 gauge wires for the three needed grounds for each accessory. I hope this makes sense? You could also make a ground harness, using a chassis bolt in the area of the ignition coil and take off from there for the grounds. Let me know if you need any clarification.

How does the power input go into that fuse box from the Taco relay kit?
@code4performance
@code4performance 5 ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching out. The outlet power and ground from the Taco relay has one wire for the ground which I extended near the relay creating three small gauge (20 or 18 gauge) wires for each accessory device. I did the same for the power into the fuse block. I used a butt connector designed for one end accepting a larger wire and then heat shrink protected the non insulated connector. You can find these connectors at some auto parts store, or I get mine from Waytek wire. Here is a link to the connector www.waytekwire.com/catalog/terminals/butt-connectors/external-step-down-butt-connector-38246 Hope this helps!

Hello, another question please, is your Tokyo starter capacitor wired directly to the battery terminal or to the fuse block from Cycle Terminals? Also just to confirm, your Taco Moto ACCESSORY CIRCUIT POWER RELAY SYSTEM is wired directly to battery terminals, correct? Thanks again.
@code4performance
@code4performance Жыл бұрын
Rocci, both the capacitor and Taco relay are wired directly to the battery terminals. I cut the ring terminals off both the relay and capacitor as supplied from Taco and Tokyo and combined both leads into one terminal so as to not have so many ring terminals under the battery bolts. Less clutter. Hope this helps. If you need to send me and email at code4performance@gmail.com and I could send you some pictures. Thank you

Hello, could you please tell me what gauge wire you used for the separate circuits to the heated grips, voyager pro etc. The fuse block you added from cycle terminal is offered with 2 different gauge sizes, which one are you using? Thanks for this informative & helpful video.
@code4performance
@code4performance Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. I used 18 gauge wire as this is generally what size wire is on most circuits from KTM. Choose the 16-18 size terminals from Cycle Terminal. You will be very pleased with how clean the set up is and the block tucks nicely in the airbox. I covered the wires running to the accessories along the frame backbone with Cycle Terminals black wire loom. Buy a few of their sizes and choose which one is the least bulky so you don't take up anymore room along the frame than you have to. Last thing, buy some extra terminals and seals in case you mess them up crimping them on.

GREAT video and bike, wow - one of the best out there!! I'm curious, will the heat demon toggle switch fit in the standard hole where the key would have gone on the motominded plate? My ignition is relocated and I'm trying to put the heated grips in the same spot but it doesn't sound like they'll let you make any adjustments anymore.....any help appreciated!
@code4performance
@code4performance Жыл бұрын
Thank you, Jared. It is unfortunate Moto Minded won't sell you a plate without the key hole. The switch which comes with the grips is a simple, ON/OFF/ON toggle which goes in a 3/4" hole. The key switch hole is too big for the switch. You could always try and find a plastic washer with a 3/4" inner diameter hole and large enough on the outside to cover the key hole and then epoxy it in place...OR if you haven't used the AUX switch provided with the dash, you could shop around and find a switch to fit that hole. Hope this helps.

Beautifully built bike. Everything you want and nothing you don’t in my opinion. Are you running the The voyager pro with GPS speed only? I want to add one to my EXC but I am looking for options to get the factory speedo pickup to perform double duty with the voyager mounted up. I thought I saw that someone made a split harness to send the signal to both units but I’ve scoured google to no avail. Enjoy your bike!

Thank you for the comment. I am using the GPS only speed for the TTVP. I, like you, have read or seen something on the innerwebs about coupling the TT to the factory speedo pick up, but I cannot recall where. I know the instructions for the TT talk about replacing the pick up sensor with their available sensor, but I just elected to use the GPS as I still have the OEM cluster on the bike.

I just got the trail tech pro, I’m worried about the install position on the top of my FlexxBars though, seems like both of ours would get damaged in a simple crash. I’m trying to look at options to place it behind the bars.
@code4performance
@code4performance 2 жыл бұрын
Tim, where I am running a damper, it didn’t leave much choice for other mounting options. The flex setup is even higher up due to the cross bars on the flex bars. No doubt a hard crash might be the death of the TT. They are a pretty robust piece but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Best advice I can add is to be sure and upgrade to the aluminum dock. It is a must. Cheers
