I went with the AXP rear rack after seeing it in your channel. It definitely has some flex to it, but works for me since it has more areas to strap on to. The slots on the side are well spaced and don't slip backwards or forwards with my net thing on them as they would with this rack or the stock hand rails since nothing is holding them fore or aft.
@MVDBR3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the AXP does the job that's for sure. Have yet to test out the SRC but I think it will be fine 👌

The only problem is how straight up the bike stands as it is, don't know if yours is the same but this one doesn't lean much at all on the stand and adding more height to the stand itself makes it a little worse. Luckily it's only a couple of mm

Hey guy's...nice gear you got from SRCMoto, and I hate to be picky, but not too impressed with the 4 bolts that hold the main rack to the frame :(...would have been nice if they were flush with the rack, instead of sticking up a few mm.
@MVDBR3 жыл бұрын
The ones that hold the luggage plate on? Yeah you're right it would be nice if they were countersunk or something but that would mean the plate would have to be thicker material, but that wouldn't be a terribly bad thing 🤷♂️ thanks for the comment Geoff 🤙
@geoffhowse35913 жыл бұрын
@@MVDBR Hey Josh, yes, sorry the luggage plate....I've noticed that the majority of SRC's racks have this mounting system, which in my opinion kinda limits what you can strap to it. for example a small jerry can. I'd also be concerned that if you had some "luggage" or soft pack's, that those raised screws could wear a hole in them. I have a B & B rack, and the holding bolts (which are countersunk bolts), are countersunk into the luggage plate itself, which is 4mm thick. I would very much doubt that if you decided to countersink Nat's, it would look a lot neater, and I doubt that it would compromise it's strength. Just looking at the clip as I'm writing, it's NOT going to crack....might even see if you could not use those little spacers underneath. Anyway M8, that's my 10 cents....maybe a job for an upcoming Batcave Friday !!! Cheers.

Dont make my mistake, as you will end up losing that sidestand foot like I did. Put some RED loctite on those bolts even though they are probably nylon lock nuts, as I had blue loctite on mine and they still came undone on a long ride and i then had to buy another replacement foot. I made sure I used Red the second time around.
