I'd love one of these. a guy in my high school p.e. class raced a '77 in the Hang Ten USGP at Carlsbad that year, in the international class. shocks were mistakenly set up for a much lighter rider, but it was a thrill to watch!

I bought one of these brand new. The shocks weren't very good and the forks were worse but I was able to put the suspension from my Suzuki on it...Fox air shocks and Simmon forks. It was always first to the first turn. Great motor. Racing it off road was a problem in rough ground as carb leaked too much. My guess is the float allowed too much bounce allow the gas to go right thru it and over flow onto the ground. I couldn't finish a 30 mile loop on a 3.5 gallon tank. I replaced the carb with a Mikuni but then it wouldn't even out run a 250...bummer. Still I loved that bike and wish I still had it.

jchavins so you needed a 38mm Mikuni then it would have ripped

I had a 77' 250 that was super fast.. I had an unfair advantage on the starts. Great bike but it was sure hard to get to the carb.

Throw that Bing carb out in the weeds and put a Mikuni on it.
