Great video. Just curious; given that things were still in spec, did it 'need' a rebuild or did you do it being proactive? If it needed it; did you know because it was loosing power or what? Again, thanks for a nice video.

What counter sprocket and rear sprocket are you running? I’m running 14/45 for duel sport mostly dirt 4th to 5th is short,5th to 6th is pretty tall.I’m not sure what I can run my 17’ up to without overtaxing the motor,so on the highway I don’t push it past 60 or so.
@KGRowlo Жыл бұрын
I’m running the same sprocket sizes💪I’ve had my bike topped out at around 115mph and held it for hours at 70-80mph

@@KGRowlo right on Man good to know now I’m thinking 65-70 should be ok for the bike then.Mines got 30hrs and has had three 4 oil changes..got the bike with 24 hrs,guy I bought it from had it in a storage unit for three years.Had a clogged injector,figured that out after I went ahead and changed it,after I found the bike to have good fuel pressure,but still wouldn’t start,that was the fix,came with a vortex ecu! Anyway,good to know that the rebuild myth has been debunked in my head officially now and that I can ride the hell out of this thing without anxiety for a good long while.. thanks for this video man!

i run 14/42 with 17" rear on my supermoto on the street. i love it. so dont be afraid to try 42 rear. clutch up wheelies at 5:th easy. 85mph is the sweetspot while transportdriving. ~115mph top speed.

I have 250+ hours on my 2015 and its smoking pretty bad. It uses oil but not to bad. I think its time for a top end.

Check compression and leak down? If good probably valve seals👀

What’s up bro great video, I just picked up a 2012 because I’m rebuilding my r1 motor, this thing smokes like a bitch and burns a half quart of oil every tank of gas. I’m gonna do a complete rebuild, was your bike down on power at all? I know I have the 6 speed tranny and I feel like the gears are extremely short I’ve tried various combos and nothing is making me happy with the 17inch sm wheels. Any advice ?
@KGRowlo Жыл бұрын
Not down on power at all, the 6 speeds on the ktm makes almost every gear feel the same except 6th! im runing 45 tooth sprocket on 17" sumos and i love the way they feel
