KTM 640 Lc4 rear tyre replacement

Removing the rear wheel from a motorcycle is often varied especially between types of bikes. Scooters, cruisers, road, trail & mx, they all have their own quirky steps.
Supamoto bikes are no different, their wide wheel rims and narrow swing arms tend to cause problems with the brake caliper. KTM supamoto is one of the worst when it comes to getting the rear wheel removed & that's exactly why I made the decision to put this rear tyre replacement to camera, to help save others from the 'pain' associated with getting this job done!
Included in this video is the use of a tyre machine, fitted with the special adapters for motorcycle wheels, to remove & fit the tyre...

hey Andy, very helpful video, thank you! i have an observation, may be is not important, but the axle shaft on your motorcycle is mounted on the wrong side. the axle nut as to be on the same side of the chain, not on the disc brake side, as per manual. cheers.

I recently bought a 2000 ktm duke 640lc4 and am having trouble with finding a chain guide block part 26# in swingarm diagram I could certainly use some suggestions if you have any.

+Pete Curran Thanks Pete, yes, I think it's probably more to do with the culture here. Basically if a car passes it's WoF (MOT) then the owner assumes it will be fine until the next inspection, resulting in many cars driving around with the cords exposed on the tyres! As a WoF inspector there are many reasons why we can fail tyres and although it's based on the condition of the vehicle at the time of the inspection we also have a duty of care so if there is anything that may be an issue in the immediate future we usually do our best to ensure its sorted...
