How capable is the 690? Why not get the exc-f 500? I'm torn between the two. I can either one brand new right now -- '18' 690 or '19' for 10,000 Usd. I can also get a '19' excf 250 for 8200 dollars... This riding looks pretty gnarly. Is it fun? Some claim it's more fun on a better suited motorcycle. Hahaha, all I know is what I see. You look to be having fun so drive on.

Hey S Fish, Mate my only advise is that you need to buy a bike which is suited the most to the style of riding you plan on doing. I've just bought a new KTM 450 and I'm fricken loving it! The 690 was a weapon for power but hard to ride in the right stuff. Have a look at my latest video and if it's more the stuff your thinking of doing then buy either a 500 or 450. But honestly the 450 is so powerful that the guy whip can ride it to the max would be a pro. Hope this helps your decision making.

@@UTPP I agree, the type, size and power of bike matters the most. Me and my buddy went on this thailand trip on a couple crf250's , the problem was them honda's are damn heavy, almost more than the 690, and with just a fraction of the power. I think I hit the ground like 6-7 times! Awesome ride guys !!

Hi there, it's called a Midwest Clutch. I got it from the states and its great! It's just a clutch lever, easy option and I highly recommended it. Cheers

@@UTPP yea fair enough 690 would probably be a bit to heavy I have a 04 KTM 450 exc she's old but seems to be perfect for the hill climbs around that area I all ways start at mango tree and make my way up around the back of the look out area

@@gsdgtjfzsvbgfcsee4816 i love my 450 mate, it's good for hills, rocks and ruts. The 690 engine is a weapon but the bike is a handful in the hard stuff!!!!! Yer we usually start at the Mango tree and just follow our nose, GHM are awesome! I'm just about to upload our latest trip to Manar Park, it's s great place to ride. Make sure you check out the video, will go live tomorrow.
