KTM 690 Enduro Lightweight Adventure Motorcycle Tour + Lynx R Fairing Overview + Night Ride

Night ride @ 8:10 -- This is my dad's bike that did an amazing job on the Colorado BDR. Learn about all the features that make this 2015 KTM 690 Enduro R a great lightweight adventure bike. The star of the build is the Britannia Composites Lynx R fairing. This fairing fixes three main problems with the 690 Enduro for adventure riding -- It allows it to comfortably ride at high speeds with the extendable/removable windshield, gives it dash space for GPS/power outlets and provides a much needed 5900 lumens of light.
Some people don't like the look of the Lynx R, but I think it fits the KTMs with the notch in the front fender very well and it works so well that it makes me happy every time I see it. It is a very light addition for all the added benefits.
The Lynx R fairing is a great way to make any smaller enduro bike/motorcycle exponentially more adventure worthy and they make variations for the Honda XR 650L, Suzuki DR-Z400/DR650, Husqvarna and a few other bikes. The install and removal is very straight forward, so you can always go back to being a lighter/leaner enduro bike too.

Hi, thanks for this, it was a really helpful vid in choosing a new setup for my Husky 701. Just wondering, do you know what the rear racks are on the bike? They are clean looking and I really like that the passenger foot pegs are integrated. Thanks!

Nomad has a rally fairing for the 690 as well - would you recommend that or this Lynx?

Depends on the type of riding you are doing. If you don't plan on getting into actual woods single/tight double track ever, then the Nomad is pretty freaking awesome, but a little heavy. Rade Garage has a pretty awesome fairing kit for the new 690's (2019+) too that might be worth looking at. The thing is you cant beat the lynx for simplicity, ease of install, weight, and the lighting is incredible... And I would still feel good ripping it around some trees without getting too worried about it. The Nomad kit adds roughly 12" forward from your steering stem, which is great on fire roads, BDR's, etc.... but that extra length in any type of trees starts feeling funky.
