Just wanted to say that this seat does fit the 2022 690 SMC R (US Spec Bike). Seat Concepts seemed a bit confused when I talked to them a month ago. Just put my seat on that I order from SRmoto today. The seat looks mint will give it a shack down tomorrow.

Yes, we have one on our 2021 KTM 690 SMCR Project bike, and the 2022 model looks pretty much un-changed from that bike. These seats are a lot more comfortable than the stock seat, and look much nicer too.

Is it easy to clean? Will the grippy material have white marks from trapped dust etc?

To me, the low slip top seats are a bit easier to keep clean than the gripper top seats. For some reason that gripper material just seems to want hold a bit more dirt and harder to get it looking new again.

For our supermoto, I didn't think the XL was necessary. The standard comfort is plenty wide, and more than comfortable enough for the riding we do with the bike. But if you are doing real long rides on your 690, then yes the XL is going to be a bit more comfortable because of that slightly wider seating surface.

The problem with these seats is that you never sit that far back where it tapers off. I returned mine because of that.

How tall are you? I'm 5'9" tall and I sit right in the middle of the widest part of the seat. Only time I move forward is when riding aggressively or going into a corner. For me, these are WAY more comfortable than the stock seats, no doubt about it.

@@user-we5yo2yo1f i'm 6'4 and I found them a waste of money. I don't sit my ass back on the seat far enough to hit the "wider" part. So, up towards the tank they are the same size, actually if you look at it the stock seat is a bit wider. Both seat are uncomfortable, for some reason they can't build a super comfortable seat on these new age bikes like they did back in the 80's. I could ride a 1988 XR for days (because of the seat) they want things to look slimmer hence giving up comfort. No one should have to change out a seat for a bike that price- heaven knows every single person has complained

@@branttmyhres74 yes, the seat is narrow towards the font. This is for an aggressive riding position, and also so shorter riders can get their feet down on what is a pretty tall bike. But for me, the wide part of the seat is where I'm sitting most of the time. It would be awkward to sit that far forward on the narrow part during normal riding.

@@moreno2796 We have a 2021 model and the 2022 looks exactly the same to me, so I don't think any major changes. Had heard rumors they would put a TFT dash on, but doesn't look like they did.
