Interesting way to get the seal out, the front sprocket seems a lot easier to change when compared to the bigger bikes with a super torqued bolt :) surprised there was some corrosion on the guard bit despite all the oil and chain lube lol

If you can get the metal collar out, then the o ring goes behind that first, then re assemble putting the seal last, thanks.

danny jr. I used a bit of Petrol, but anything that gets rid of the grime should do, I found that petrol is a similar price to some solvents in that quantity, just don't go lighting a cigarette. I only put in the main seal, I couldn't get the metal tube bit out so gave up,on that bit.good luck

You could try to put some sealant on the bolt threads perhaps, not one that sets hard though.

@suznet6 жыл бұрын
love the way u lie what bolt holes, the ones that hold the cover on?? If it is those, then put cover back on,lol. As for water in the oil, it depends how much, if only very little then it may burn off at high temps, otherwise just flush the oil out & replace it.

@suznet8 жыл бұрын
anurag77719 Oil on the casing & inside the bellypan is a good sign, or Oil on the side stand was the first thing I saw, I first thought it was an over lubricated chain causing it

with such issues is the KTM worth a buy ? do other brand bikes like Honda and Yamaha also have such issues ? is it that the quality of components in KTM is too low ?

the size if it helps is 37mm outside diameter about 25mm inside diameter (the collar it goes over is 26mm OD) the seal thickness is 6mm - there are no numbers on the seal that would help.
