Why are they trying to sell previous gen 890 in India when they upgraded it to 990 with new design language elsewhere??!! That too as a cbu with 15+ L ex-showroom???!!!! That looks old especially 390 got an upgrade from similar design. 1390 makes more sense and even the pricing is competitive when compared to similar hyper naked bikes like zh2, speed triple and s1kr

I think it all depends on our foreign taxation policy. Hence KTMs which are supposed to be cheap hooligans are pseudo premium motorcycles in India

@@atulgaikwad5998 our country is know for taxation. Duke is importing these model, hence import duty i guess is close to 100% (near about) then you have GST + cess reaching to ex showroom price. On top of this add road tax, prices will reach through the roof. Hence generally big bikes are not launched in India, just because, even though they are cheap, our inefficient policies makes it out of reach.
