if I am coming to kenya as a tourist why do I need to bring in a specific value of goods in the country, what if I have a watch worth 20€ I cant bring in my underpants and shirts, this government is unhinged and Ruto should h´just resign

However, the significant airport frustrations and harassment stemming from corrupt Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) practices, inefficient systems, and the presence of armed police create a sense of insecurity, negatively impacting Kenya's image. I would prefer to travel through Tanzania.

My issues is why should people get of the car at the jkia entrance and be scanned yet the driver stays in n goes through with the car, whatever you are looking for I can easily leave it in the car ,and if you can scan the car what's the point of me getting out ?doest make sense at all...

Kenyans can invest in building a new airport for 2 billion $ or 3 billion $. If kenyan remittance amounted to 4.5 billion dollars in 2024. That means they can invest in our own infrastructure enya, a new airport, and beyond. We don't need no foreign loans or private investments coming from the outside; IMF, China, Qatar, UAE, India or Adani-oligarchy money. We, the people, can do it....Kenyans deserve to invest in their own future infrastructures.

Travelling to this country, this "duty free" upgrade needs to be expanded and increased for ALL travelers. One can see the ill treatment the residents or diaspora are given when they travel. We have observed this ourselves and it is most unfortunate. People were bringing items for their large families and they were taxed a ridiculous amount at customs. If your country truly wants to bring in tourism from all aspects, treat your own people correctly from the onset. Many want to return to their home country but you overtax them across the board (at airport, if they purchase a home, bring an automobile, if they want to build...), contractors cheat them and overcharge them, to name a few. If you want those in Europe as tourists to return, fix the sewage issue, protect them from the street thieves and those who overcharge them around the area.
