KTUNER V1.2 Flash + Tuner View install - 10th Gen Accord (Complete Install)

This video will cover a Ktuner V1.2 install on my 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T / 10 Speed. This video will cover the full install of the Stage 2 Duel Tune 1 which allows you to retain ECO mode, Normal Mode and Sport Mode.
I will explore the software, install the tune and upload into the vehicle. I will show you how to clear any errors you encounter.
As a bonus I will also be installing Tuner View on my Amazon Fire 7 tablet and syncing it via Bluetooth to my ktuner.

I’m happy that it worked for you. I bought one and I think I downloaded everything. But I have been sitting in my car for nearly 2 hours with this video paused watching an account management screen. The window says it is exchanging data so I don’t want to unplug it, nor do I want to waste an entire day looking at a log on window. Thanks for the great video! Just be patient.That screen took like 2-3 hours for me. I didn’t include it in the video cause it took so long I thought it was maybe just me. Eventually the system will notify you that it’s registered you. Just make sure it’s stays connected to the inter webs. After you get through this horrifying experience you’ll enjoy every second of the tune. 👌🏽

10:13 that would be a nice to have for us MT drivers, we only have the ECON mode button, so we're either in ECON mode, or not :) so I run Stage 2 dual target 1 so that I have the best fuel economy in ECON mode, then Stage 2 when I turn ECON mode off.

What’s up man! You’ll need to side load the google play store, once you have the play store you can download ANY app available in store. That’s how I got tunerview. Search “side loading amazon fire tablet” and you’ll find a few walk through vids 🤙🏽

If you plan on running tuner view to a tablet you’ll need it in the obd2 port. The unit has built in Bluetooth. If you don’t care about the tablet then you are free to take it out! 🤙🏽

I’m still trying bro! I’m on my 3rd android device, all have been rooted but getting them on android auto with the correct software so my car reads it is the difficult part. Only specific revisions work to run screen mirroring which is how you’d get tunerview up on the infotainment.

Hey there! I'm getting my ktuner tomorrow and I've always heard that you need certain upgrades for each stage? The only thing I have is a k&n air intake and a muffler delete which I know isn't anything. So would you recommend just getting the stage 1 Dual for now? Thank you!

Na man you’ll be fine. You can run any stage you want without issue. I ran the car on stage 2 with just a PRL stage 1 which is basically stock for 2 months and didn’t have 1 issue. Since then I’ve modified the car quite a bit and it runs like a dream. Ramp that tune up bro, you’ll be fine. The stage 2 tune is very conservative anyways. Enjoy 🤙🏽

Yes you can. If you are using tuner view, you can have the tunes loaded directly to the application giving you adjustability on the fly.

Awesome video dude!! But is the factory tune coming from ktuner or is it simply recording what's on my car when I first plug the tuner into the OBD2 port and saving it as factory tune? Also, does ktuner have any gear shift point adjustments for the transmission and if it can be reset to factory settings too with the factory tune?

Ktuner saves the factory base tune software version each time you flash. When reverting back to stock it will load the exact file Honda put on the ECU so no there are no discrepancies if the ECU ever needs to be read by the factory. As far as the transmission goes, nothing I’ve seen or read tells me that Ktuner would give us those options.

I had once disconnected the battery to reset the ecu and relearn, but it has never gotten back to the original factory throttle tip in and gear shift point settings after several miles of driving. I intend to use a Stage 2 dual tune and was wondering if the eco mode will save a bad factory tune if I went ahead. I am guessing there is a different malfunction than the factory ecu setting. Going to a dealer is a hassle since they deny any support if there are no error codes and noticeable driving issues.

Yeah it’s crazy how different the car is AFTER you already loaded a tune. Mileage is the exact same. If you ride around with your foot to the floor board it’ll obviously go down some but normal driving it’s the same.

Flash back stock. Drive for a mile. Then flash to base tune and drive for a mile.

Yes exactly. You can sync the device with the car and remove it immediately after. If you decide you want to see data, store additional tunes or data log then sync the phone/tablet up.

What is the difference between the different throttle responsiveness and turbo responsiveness ? I want to enable early spooling but trying to figure out which #s to play around with for throttle and turbo responsiveness.

Throttle responsiveness basically gives you larger percentages of “throttle usage” with less input. So for example, on max settings, with about 15% throttle push you car is wide open throttle. We’re talking millisecond and it’s full open and pushing power. That setting is by far the best and most useful setting in the Ktuner because it’s instant power with a tap of the throttle. I did max settings turbo responsiveness, TR, and quick spool. It’s like a go cart now 😂

Yes exactly that! If you check out the tuner view program for android you’ll see they overlays are really all you need. They have every layout you would want and they look 1000% better then V2 screen. Go look at the app before you decide if that’s the route you want.

I noticed that with the newest software update. I had to drive the 500 ft. (Drove a few miles actually) then turned the car off and back on. Problem solved. 👌🏽

Eco mode is kinda bad unless your on the hwy. dealer will not change it back, there is zero reason for them to plug into the car change ECU specifications.
