Story
Hello Friends!
Let's listen to a story today.
Once upon a time, there lived a small ant named Kuttu. Lallu Parrot and Allu Dove were his friends. They told him about the beautiful Himalayas. The small ant loved it. He wished to see the snowy Himalayan mountains and the valley filled with flowers and green meadows.
Kunjan Ant spoke about the mountains to his mother.
"Mom! I want to go see the Himalayas."
"Hmm. How will you go? Do you know the way? Also, Kunja, the Himalayas are far away. You need a lot of days to reach there."
"Amma, please, please! I really want to go, Amma. I want to see the scenery there. Please!"
"Mmm... okay. Please be careful. You don't have experience traveling alone."
After saying this, Amma hugged and kissed Kunjan Ant and sent him on his way. As he started his journey to the Himalayas, he met his beautiful butterfly friend on the way.
"Kunjaa, where are you going?" the butterfly asked.
"I am going on a journey to the Himalayas."
"Kunja, won't you get hungry? Did you take any food?"
"Ayyo! I forgot to take food. I was in a hurry."
Kunjan walked all the way back to his home. Amma asked Kunjan why he came back home. Kunjan told Amma he wanted to pack food for his journey. Amma quickly packed all the food she had stored and put it into a bag and gave it to Kunjan.
Kunjan started his journey again. On his way, he saw his friend, the Beetle.
"Kunja, where are you going?" the Beetle asked.
"I'm going on a journey to the Himalayas," said Kunjan.
"Ayyo, are you going without a jacket? It's very cold there. You will freeze to death."
"Ooh, you are right. Let me go home and get a winter jacket."
Kunjan came all the way back home again. Amma asked Kunjan why he came back home.
"Amma, I need a winter jacket! The Beetle said it's freezing cold there."
"Let me check," said Amma.
Amma started knitting a winter jacket for Kunjan that day. She finished making the jacket in two days and gave it to him. Kunjan started his journey again, wearing the winter jacket.
After walking for a little bit, he met his friend, Dragonfly Keshu!
"Kunja, where are you going?" asked Keshu.
"I'm going on a journey to the Himalayas," said Kunjan.
"Kunja, the Himalayas are very far away. You don't even have slippers on your feet."
"Ohhh, you are right, Keshu. Ayyo, let me tell my mom."
Kunjan made his way back home again. Amma asked, "Why did you come back again?"
"Amma! I want slippers, Amma!"
Amma made a pair of slippers for Kunjan from the nearby jackfruit tree leaves. The slippers were beautiful!
Thus, Kunjan was on his journey again. After walking a lot, he was suddenly hit by a big rock and fell down.
"Ayyo, Amma! Amma!" Kunjan cried loudly. Kunjan broke both his hands. He was in severe pain. He went on his way back home crying.
"Amma! Amma! How will I go to the Himalayas now, Amma? My hands are hurting a lot."
"Ayyo, my son, what happened to you? Both your hands are broken. Let your hands heal. Then you can go to the Himalayas."
Kunjan shook his head while crying. Kunjan had to wait for a long time for his hands to heal.
Dear Friends, we should make good decisions on our own. If we take the opinions of all the people we meet and change our good decisions, we can never reach our goal.
