To my knowledge there is no harm..most of the time there is no real difference in the nutritional value of canned versus fresh fruits and vegetables..what does make the difference is what's added to preserve or increase the flavor. A lot of canned fruits are preserved in sugar syrup..avoid buying that ..instead buy fruits preserved in its own juice or if not wash it before use..similarly excess sodium is the main concern in canned vegetables and pulses..try to buy those preserved in water if not try rinsing the vegetables very well before consuming
