Welcome to Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia! Batu = Stone in the Malay language & the Golden Dewa statue infront of the entrance of this famous Batu Caves is to revere Dewa Murugan , the Dewa Brother of Dewa Ganesha / Ganapati / Sri Sakhthi Vinayagar ( The Elelphant Faced Dewa ) & Both are the Dewa Sons of Maha Dewa Shiva & Maha Dewi Parvati. Malaysia encountered the North Eastern Monsoon from November to early January , while February is the hottest month to coincide with the Lunar New Year celebration ... This year 2025 after the 1st Day of the Lunar Month will be the Wood Snake! You guys missed the Christmas decorations on the many Shopping Malls around KL & can check them out in other channels that recorded them! Stay safe , healthy , stay vigilant & stay humble guys! Wishing a late Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year 2025 to Everybody! 🙏🌷🌿🍎🍊🫐🥘🍕🍔🍟🍰🍵

Thank you for sharing all these fascinating details about Kuala Lumpur and the Batu Caves! We always love to learn more about the history and culture!. We missed the Christmas decorations this time round, but maybe next time! A late Merry Christmas to you too we hope you had a fantastic celebration, and wishing you a healthy and wonderful start to 2025 too! ❤️

KUALA LUMPUR AFFORDABLE LUXURY LIFE =)
@Ashleighandluke18 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching!. We had the most amazing time in Malaysia, and Kuala Lumpur was truly a luxurious experience! We can’t wait to come back to Malaysia in our future travels!

😂not sure how long you've been away but 2 coffees and a cake in England now is about £16 😔. Love your videos, we went to the Batu Caves in 1999, lots of monkeys but not painted the colours it is now, Georgetown also wasn't the destination it is now.
@Ashleighandluke19 күн бұрын
Haha, £16 for coffees and cake? We might need to extend our travels a bit longer! 😅 Thank you so much for watching and sharing your memories ❤️ -Batu Caves was an amazing experience! Georgetown was such a highlight for us too, and definitely somewhere we could see ourselves going back too!

Thank you for the price comparison 🙏. Makes one nod in agreement with some retirees' decision to make Malaysia a viable resting spot. (😤those darned little monkey ruffians)
@Ashleighandluke17 күн бұрын
You’re absolutely right - the price difference in SE Asia is eye-opening! Malaysia definitely offers a lot of value, and we can definitely see why retirees and/or digital nomads are drawn to it. As for the monkeys, they might be mischievous, but they sure add character to the experience! 😄

@@Ashleighandluke Ahaha, oh, hi Ashleigh and Luke! Just finishing watching up your video and adding a comment (for the algorithm😋) to the main section...now. Yup yup. Been watching channels such as Taylor, Nomad Capitalist, and Our Journey to Success and Saira Haiyati (for a different sub-set). 🙈to the monkeys; one bit me mum there - truth be told, not undeserved, she was kinda teasing them at the time 🙄

It's a pity you didn't really get to sample the local food. KL (and Malaysia) has a lot more to sample food wise. The irony is that you were not far from some locations where you would have had very much more reasonably priced meals...
@Ashleighandluke16 күн бұрын
You’re absolutely right, there’s so much more to explore when it comes to KL’s food scene. But it gives us even more reason to go back ☺️ We’ll make sure to dive deeper into the local flavors next time we visit. Thanks for the recommendation and for watching!

Tips: When you travel to Malaysia, you don’t want missed to try Malaysia Indian food wich is next level. That one you tried was Indian food, not same with Malaysia Indian food.
@Ashleighandluke17 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tip! We’ll definitely keep an eye out for some authentic Malaysian Indian food next time we’re in Malaysia. Do you have any specific recommendations we should try?
@leodavinclavigan616617 күн бұрын
@ it is hard to specify one, and if my recommendation could “hurt” Malaysian opinion as they quite sensitive and willing to start WW3 over thier food preferences😆. I would say you might want to google “Restoren Nasi Kandar Paling Sedap Di KL” or in English “The Best Nasi Kandar Restaurant in KL” (put “for vegan” if you bring vegan friends”) and you pick one to start your journey. Plan your “journey” as you might need toilet if your gut not ready for “diversity”. God bless god speed👌💪

You have so much amazing food at your door step…u need to stop looking for the boujie touristy places + look for nasi campur, nasi kandar, or nasi lemak with beef rendang 👌or mee curry or char sui wonton mee.
