monorail line is now less crowded due to the completion of MRT Kajang Line. Last time the only way to go to Bukit Bintang was with monorail, now people all over Klang Valley can directly go to Bukit Bintang with MRT without the need to change line to Monorail anymore.

Will the original monorail route be done or this is just it.. the actual route goes all the way along the Klang River, Mid Valley to Tmn Desa and part of Old Klang. Road.. When the original mono rail was planned, KL Sentral was not on the drawing board..

I don’t think the government has any plan to complete it as per the original. But it would be great if they can expand monorail line further, especially to the less crowded towns like Rawang, Sg Buloh, Shah Alam as well since these places don’t have proper public transportations. Shah Alam is better than rest with busses and LRT3 is expected to complete soon. Sg Buloh MRT and KTM station is located too far, it almost Kepong already. Let’s not talk about how sad Rawang public transportation is.

The KL Monorail train looks so empty. these days. Pre pandemic, there were usually bursting at the seams............ and sometimes during rush hour you might have had to wait up to 3 trains before you could get into one.

Hi nice to hear from you again. This was filmed on Sunday at about 2pm. For sure it's a lot quieter these days compared to 2+ years ago. But there are many other factors in play also, people just don't go out so much these days to shop and eat. Easier and cheaper to order online from Lazada & Shoppee. Also folks order-in food much more now from Foodpanda and Grab. And when many people do decide to go out on the weekend they are more inclined to use Grab as their transport. If it's just one person public transport is obviously cheaper, but when there is a two or more of you quite often the price difference is negligible and much more convenient using Grab. KL Monorail is only busy now during the week at rush hour for the commuters to get to and from work.
