Thank you for the video, we will be on Oahu in April 2024. They say not to ride the UTVs with back or neck problems. The roads do seem bumpy, but not like extreme off-roading bumpy. They don't appear any worse than an average mid-western dirt or gravel farm road. Does that assessment seem about right? Did you feel any pain from the ride?
@newtravelescapes Жыл бұрын
Hi! Since we made that video we have been back to do the zip-line. We noticed that parts of the UTV trail are actually now paved. It was not extreme off-roading, in my opinion. I agree, similar to a farm road. A bit bumpy here and there but you never go more than 15 mph and much much slower than that over the bumpy parts. 😜 You do whatever you are most comfortable with, of course. But if it helps to know, we took my 81 year old parents on the UTV's, they were fine and they loved it. 😊 Hope that helps ☺️

@@newtravelescapes Thank you for the response, it does help! We may have sore backs and necks, but no worse than most people. We are still active, take long road trips, go on easy hikes and navigate the terrible Illinois pot holes on a daily basis. I think we'll be fine for the UTV ride! 😃

Thanks for the video. How far in advance would you recommend booking? Also, do they stop during the tour for photos?
@newtravelescapes Жыл бұрын
Hi! I would book it as far out in advance as you can. It sells out quickly. Depends on your group size, of course. 2 people will be far easier to squeeze into the schedule than 8. We booked about 3 months in advance for 8 people. You can cancel your reservation if your schedule changes. They stopped 3 times, during the tour, for us to get out and take pictures.

Do they speak to you and tell you what you are seeing as you drive?
@newtravelescapes9 ай бұрын
Not as you drive along rather there are a number of stops along the way to get out of the UTV and they tell you stories about the history and explain the different things you are seeing or will be seeing. I felt they explained the area well without stopping and starting all the time.

How many times did you get to stop to take pictures? Are there any spots from the original Jurassic Park ?
@newtravelescapes2 жыл бұрын
The utv tour doesn't really focus on the movies. The movie tour would have much more on the movie sites. I believe we stopped 3 times for picture opportunities.

did you stop by the dinosaur in the cage? or did you jsut drive by?
@newtravelescapes Жыл бұрын
Which one? There are several spots with dinosaurs and props that we stopped at but not as many as are on the movie tour. 🙂

Do you know of any coupons? Is he hard to find? Is 2 hours enough time?
@newtravelescapes2 жыл бұрын
I wasn't able to find any coupons, myself. Kualoa ranch is well marked and not hard to find. 2 hrs on the utvs was a good time. We saw a lot but didn't feel rushed.

They note on their website that a valid driver's license is required and must be presented at check-in. Do they accept Canadian driver's licenses?
@newtravelescapes2 жыл бұрын
Yeppers, we had no problem with Canadian drivers licenses. 🙂

The tour guide does the driving? You can’t drive yourself?
@newtravelescapes8 ай бұрын
Your tour guides lead the group on their own UTVs. One in front and one at the back. You drive your own UTV but you have to follow the group around the valley, not go off on your own. Hope that makes sense. 😊

@@newtravelescapes Oh good. So is it possible to rent one UTV for a family of four? Two adults, one 20 year old and one 12.
@newtravelescapes8 ай бұрын
@@toyotahontas9296 yeppers 😊 but they charge you per person NOT per vehicle. We choose to have one parent and one child /young adult per vehicle and booked 2 UTVs. Better views for everyone.
@AkashPatel-k4c Жыл бұрын
Is it 145/person or per UTV?
@newtravelescapes Жыл бұрын
The price is per person. I would suggest keeping it to 2 people per UTV because that is the minimum per vehicle allowed. Unless the people in the rear seat are kids it would be more fun up front. 😊

If there’s two of you, are you able to switch who drives?
@newtravelescapes Жыл бұрын
You sure are 😃 and they are very good at telling you when is a good time to switch (About half-way through the tour.) Remember to show both of your drivers licenses when you check in so you each have a wrist band and you're good to go. Have fun! We are booked to try the ziplining in February. I'm going to try and make a video about that adventure as well.

How did you get to the ranch from Waikiki
@newtravelescapes10 ай бұрын
You can rent a car and drive it yourself. It is about 40 miles. Add plenty of extra time for traffic. OR Transportation is available directly from Kuala (for select tours only) for an additional $30 per person+tax.

I can have 6 in one ATV correct?
@newtravelescapes2 жыл бұрын
They hold between 2 and 6 depending on whether they are small kids or not. 4 adults is tight. You pay per person regardless of whether you have two people per utv or 6 squished into one vehicle.
