Good job, nice of you to help them out. You should slow down your 3-point hitch valve to match the weight of your implement so it’s not slamming to the ground.. I always keep mine at a slow drop with the Leaver pushed fully down. One thing you gotta be careful about when using the scarafires is that depending on how deep the gravel base is you don’t wanna get into the base material otherwise you’ll be pulling up part of the base with it.. so if you do this yet starting shallow with the shanks and work your way down and never go farther than you have to. 👍🏻

Good point on the drop speed valve adjustment. I tried to adjust, but it is seized up. I need to work on it, but looks like I might have to pull the rear fenders off in order to get into it. As far as the scarafires go, I had them set to about 1/2 inch, but this pea gravel wasn't like traditional CA6. what ended up happening was even the skids were cutting the material and then allowing the box to drop an additional 1/2 inch. The area I live in, they use a lot of screened river rock as there isn't a lot of limestone locally. It is less expensive to buy river rock, which is sand stone based. Thanks for watching.

@@HuserHelpers very cool. And on your seized 3-point valve.. this is common.. if you go to Paul shorts channel and go look around you’ll find a video of a customers Kubota BX that he did some maintiance on.. it had a seized valve as well and he shows you how to free it

Does the Hydraulic Top link provide any downward pressure on the implement?

Not really. But it does help you maximize the cut, which increases suction.

No, it just allows you to adjust the forward to rearward angle of the implement. Very expensive option for something very easily done by adjusting a regular top link.

@@wildbill23c The first 4 dozen times climbing off the tractor and back on again to fiddle around with the top and side links are fun. After that it gets old quick. I have put a top and side link on mine and love it. Compared to the time it saves, its not expensive at all.

​@@Scuba11000 I've been thinking about getting the rear remotes for my BX, and adding the 3rd function valve for the loader too, just after my not so good experience with my 1st tractor purchase I'm not so sure I want them doing anything to my tractor at this point...I'd have to order everything and find time to install it myself, otherwise I may never see my tractor again. I don't have anything that requires auxiliary hydraulics right now, but as time goes by I think that hydraulic top link would be nice for box blade work, not so sure it would serve any purpose with the roto-tiller, or a regular rear grading blade, but who knows what other uses a person would find once they have one....I guess you could probably also use it to adjust the pitch of a brush hog too I'd think. I guess there's several uses for one, once you have it, you just really never think about it as you are like you said getting on and off the tractor to adjust the regular top link dozens of times LOL.

@@wildbill23c I put 3 rear remotes on mine .....all DIY I may add as there is as yet no option for a Yanmar YT235 that compares to what I have come up with. On one of the tree I could run a T and run a couple of hoses forward to the loader to work a grapple and still have the third pair of quick connects in the back for whatever else I want to use there apart from the top and side link. .... A open center 3 spool vale will cost between 150 and 250 bucks add another 200 for hoses and couplers and a bit of metal to make brackets and some elbow grease and you can have 3 rear remotes for around 600 bucks ... then shop for some cylinders and you can have the whole setup for around a grand. ... well worth it in my book

I think i would have tried putting a big round stone just ahead of that concrete and then let the concrete fall on it and possibly breaking it in half, then it would`ve been easier to move 2 pieces.
