2/3's of the video I chose to watch because I wanted to see the L2501 hauling wood, was of a man who forgot the fuel to do the job...bravo.....

The little green Meanies hammered anything even close to adult here, WNY, but didn't touch my saplings. Problem is they're going down way faster than I can work them.

Hey man I’m pretty sure they make a 3 point box that you can put stuff in and carry around they use to make said box for people who cut wood mainly
@OSheaSpringers2 жыл бұрын
Ya I (and when I say "I" I mean my farmer neighbour) actually made up a metal crate that goes on the back of the 3 point. It is SOOO much easier. I can fit what feels like a whole tree in there!
@brandonhoad903310 ай бұрын
I'm more concerned w the fact that he's running ready mix. Thats what $5/qt?
@connellyslandmanagement7252 жыл бұрын
We use to have a box like I’m talking about our ag class us to make them for people. We could get half a rick of wood in the box and still fit 3 saws ranging from a Sthil like ms140 I think. Little bitty guy. Then a Sthil ms028. freacking Monster…. Then a Sthil 038 absolutely insane. Anyways the box made things amazing when it came to wood cause if you have a loader the box leaves you with the loader still!

I would have stopped at 4, then I saw you load 6 and thought, wow, look at him go.
@OSheaSpringers3 жыл бұрын
Hey David! Thanks for watching and commenting. I hear ya! When I was loading I was thinking 4 should be good too but wanted to make the trip worthwhile. I've fabricated up a custom cage for the 3 point hitch. Works awesome!

hello nice tractor pallet forks work great on l2501 save your back

Ya for sure. I wanted to get the quick attach on the front for different implements but I would have been waiting a year... so, normal bucket for me!

I made my own chain saw carrier for my Kubota L2501. I am presently making another carrier for an old John Deere tractor that I feature in several of my videos. The saw hauls are very nice too, if you choose to go that way. It is a lot of fun to make your own though.

Its no fun when you have to load something a second time haha nice video👍 I'm planning on putting a wood stove in my house as well, I have so much slab wood that I cut up of the sawmill.

Haha. Oh man, I wasn't pleased as you could tell. That's a great idea for using up the slab wood. If you ever want a hand running that sawmill of yours let me know! I may even bring the camera's along and do a video!

Use the bucket to lift the log off the ground so you can cut all the way through. Get a small trailer to pull behind the tractor.
@OSheaSpringers3 жыл бұрын
Great idea! Also thought of chaining it as well to lift.

Get a set of forks and it’ll make that log hauling a lot easier
@OSheaSpringers3 жыл бұрын
For sure! So when we ordered the tractor the quick attach option would have put us a months out waiting on a tractor. We settled. I don't know if I would make a different decision now or not. We've since fabricated up a basket for the 3 point hitch and it works GREAT!

That poor loader .... just because it can lift it does not mean it is good to drive with that load through the woods and into town .... but - to each its own .... i would have taken a trailer with me.

Chain is cheap and would have held all that together.
@OSheaSpringers3 жыл бұрын

@tsafa3 жыл бұрын
You need to get a Carry All for the three-point. It's only about $150 at Tractor Supply. That's the thing your neighbor was talking about building but it's cheaper to just buy it. That way you load the back first which acts as a counterweight for the front loader. You can also weld some hooks to the top of the bucket and run a chain across to stabilize the logs. If you do this a lot get Forks... but still get the cheap Carry All in the back.
@OSheaSpringers3 жыл бұрын
Great suggestions! I actually had a 'basket' around. Actually the neighbours did. So that's what we built. Just a big metal basket with 2 point spots welded on. It works awesome! Much much easier.
