Kubota U27-4 Excavator. Using for the first time part 1

I have a kx 41, ya it's a learning curve. I found that if I break up the ground first with the bucket it's easier for the machine to move it. See nice comment❤ from a fellow Canadian 👍

Skid steer would've cleared that off alot quicker and if you're really good operator you could rake the brush with the excavator bucket and then use the blade to level. Excavators are not made to use as a dozer but leveling loose dirt or filling in a trench are what it's made for. Hard on tracks if you're using it like a dozer. Tracks aren't cheap to replace and gear drives aren't cheap either.

Like anything else you can’t get good unless you spend many hours doing it. Nobody ever got good at anything by not doing it! I’ve been operating equipment for most of my life and it only takes practice and getting used to the equipment. In many years of experience I’ve learned that when I’m on a new piece of equipment I run my throttle about 1/2 way and it really helps get fluid movement of boom, stick and bucket. Yes, and it only takes about 20 minutes before you get decent at it. I just upgraded to the 040-4. The size depends on what you need to do. I got bored with the 27-4 in a hurry. Thanks for your sub.
