Welcome to this week's classic special... Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
We truly feel this style of movies are a really good example of what broadway and the west end have consistently tried but failed to do in the modern era... Bollywood is such an interesting industry since it mixes so many elements that we love and have been involved in such as Music, theatre and big scree plays (Efra has never acted!).
Efra has completely lost it with every time Rani... New crush unlocked

One fact about this movie was that no actor was ready to play the role of Aman as it was against the top star Shahrukh. But, it was Salman who did the cameo role and even he did not take any remuneration for the role he played.

@@Ashley_10110 you're wrong. I have seen Karan Johar speak on the casting for Tina and Aman's role several times on different occasions and each time he has said that people rejected both those roles and Salman did him a big favor by agreeing to do this movie. Rani on the other hand was a movie or two old. If you don't believe it search it up, literally its on the internet. Please do not spread lies. On koffee with karan, on a solo interview (don't remember who he was interviewd by), and the recent 25th anniversary event for this movie are some occasions where he spoke about how salman agreed for Aman's role.

He did charge a lot, even Salman rejected first because his quotation price was higher than Karan’s budget. But when they couldn’t find no one else than Salman agreed again but with lesser price he asked initially. He didn’t do it for free lol

fun fact for efra, waleska and all who dont know this- karan johar was hesitant to cast rani mukherjee as tina because he thought she wasnt attractive enough and too short. he at first wanted twinkle khanna. her nickname is tina. thats why the character's name is tina. she rejected the role. then he went to a bunch of other actresses. all said no. it was srk who suggested rani after he saw her in i think a song from her 1st movie if i remember right.

i think the reason why tina asked her daughter to be named "Anjali" was because of how important Anjali was to Rahul. Anjali gave up her best friend and love for Tina and as Anjali says in a scene, "I am Rahul's Best friend" when asked by Tina, shows how important she was to Rahul as well.

It really feels nice seeing you guys feel the same way as we did when we watched these movies for the first time. Whether we like to admit it or not, most of our perception of love, relationships, friendships or family values come from movies like these we grew up watching. Okay most of the people are misunderstood Rahul's character and calling him a red flag staight. I used to hate him as kid but now i understand his character pretty much. He was young guy who probably was a playboy but always had something different with Anjali which he didn't recognised but Tina did. But for Rahul he always saw Anjali as his best, and you know like with bestfriends you share mostly a sibling like bond where you tease eachother or compete with each other. So for him he never thought anything romantic with her. But with Tina he did and as we know he was kinda playboy, he been loyal for his love and never got back to his playboy self. And even after Tina's death he never looked for someone else. And here Tina knew that Rahul and Anjali share something more than just bestfriends but she still stepped in and she was guilty. People make Anjali look like a backup plan for Rahul but they forgot that he wasn't in a search of her , he was happy with the small happy family he had with the memories of Tina with him. And after 8 freaking years they met, it's natural to have some kind of different feelings you have after meeting you bestfriend after years. And those " different feelings" and Anjali's behaviour towards his daughter lead him to develop feelings for her and he fell for her. And about Anjali we can't blame her, once you fall for someone with all your heart. It's impossible to accept someone else even if it's Salman Khan 😂

You are 35 and still didn’t get matured. 1.Aman didn’t deserve a loveless marriage. 2.Anjali would have been guilty if she married Aman, while romancing with Rahul( hiding her engagement from him). 3."Payer ek bar hota hain, saadi vhi ek baar hota hain" is bullshit, your marriage can fail, your spouse can die, that doesn’t mean, you have to punish yourself, They deserve someone too, Aman deserve companion too, He deserve love too.Sometimes you can fall in love with someone or something you spend half of your life but never realise. 4.Rahul was never a bad guy, in College he was mischievous like most of us ( many of my own friends were like, haar ladki ko pataana chata tha, lekin ek bhi patti nehi, then in 3rd year, they truly fall in love, and never look at a girl other than their girl.( I saw Girls like him too,especially GenZs believe in trying out relationship thoroughly before commitment)

0:51 - Oh yes sir, you won't have to tell me twice, that's for sure 5:20 - the EDITOR be killllllling me HELP 9:43 - Waleska can deny it if she wants but in her last life she was definitely a distant Bollywood nepo-baby, the way the trivia runs through her veins is uncanny 12:06 - ijbololololol 15:05 - We about to be druuuuunk before 4pm - on a Friday 17:53 - almost the entire weekly recommended guideline of Apple Sourz, help 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹 24:47 - Factssssss bro 🤠 26:36 - Yup, shot in Scotland 27:57 - 90s fashion queeeeens 38:29 - kids, he's talking about a concept in photography 👵 50:42 - where is the lie tho 52:49 - NEW King Of Romance just dropped 💝💝💝 1:10:19 - 🕳🕳🕳🕳🕳🕳 1:14:28 - Great question... 1940s: Yes, films songs have been played on the radio as a promotion strategy for a film, pre-release. And, as films used to run for several weeks back then (1950s onwards) as well as a staggered rollout/release strategy per territory/state, the soundtrack would have a long slow-burn rise to it's popularity and usually peak after the film's release and have a long shelf-life. [average song length in this era was around 3-minutes] 1960s: Bollywood-film magazines have always had a big market too, which was another channel of marketing. 1970s: Of course record store sales were massive right upto the early 2010s. Vinyl was huuuuuge in this era. 1980s: I think by the 80s songs became sooooo long, and yes I believe full songs would be played on the radio. This was certainly the case in the 90s. 1990s: Satelite cable TV had arrived and there were countless popular music-related shows, and several "TOP 20" type of countdown features where they would play the "music video" of the popular songs as well as new releases (rarely the full video, due to crazy lengths) 2000s: "Radio Edits" became a thing - especially because film songs usually had extended musical "breaks" after every verse (in order to spice up the video narrative aspect) 2020s: Today, much like in Western Popular music song lengths, (as well as our collective attention spans worldwide) have shrunk significantly, back down to 3 minutes, and this short video-clips being a big thing, often music composers have complained about having a brief of "just give us a catchy 30-second instagrammable viral-ready piece" from production companies. END 1:17:58 - I have been low-key begging for you to watch AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL for at least 2 years now, - it's Karan Johar's best work as a director (for me), as well as being his most mature and more realistic film, dealing with modern relationship dynamics and heartbreak, with barely a "family" member in sight, which is a strong theme for him usually, he leaps out of his usual tendencies. The performances are outstanding. The soundtrack is a modern classic. Cinematography by Anil Mehta too, a class act. And it's part-shot in London, AND there's an aspiring musician plot, so let's goooooo

Just curious.. The whole theory of "choose someone who loves you, not who you love" Why is this theory applicable only to anjali nd not to aman!? Coz clearly she never loved him nd he knew that also.. Wouldn't it be a compromise for aman as well to be with someone who's never gonna love him!?

In those times, the songs used to come as audio cassettes. The whole OST album will be in a cassette. That not only promoted the film but the producers will get the money selling those audio cassettes.

Did anyone ever tell you guys Rani and Kajol are some sort of cousins and their family is quite prominent in the Bollywood industry, please excuse and feel free to correct me if I am wrong
@SadiaIslamShouki
@SadiaIslamShouki 5 ай бұрын
Not some sort of,but they are cousins, both their father's are cousins, both are Mukherjees( paternal cousin) . In Bangali family the relationship dynamic Between Rani and Kajol is much more close even tho they are not first cousins.Because we Bangalis maintain all relationship properly. Though because of films and characters they did, they had very weird relationship, they sometimes close, sometimes not, Like for many films, Rani thought, it should be her, instead of Kajol, while Kajol being leading lady, she definitely believe she deserved it, they had ego issues, but as they are cousin,and both SRK's dearest friends, off course they reunited every time to do films.
