Kuch Sailadiyan_Himachali Folk (Kangra)

Roshan Lal is a folk singer from the valley of Chamba. He stays in Chamba and he visits Khajjiar Ground every day to bless the tourist with his music. He along with is his wife and younger brother, sing folk songs of Chamba and Kangra. At times he sings Punjabi, Marathi and Tamil songs also.
During my recent visit to Khajjiar, I was lucky enough to listen to him. All the songs he sung made me remember my roots. The song in this video is from Kangra, here a wife is demanding bangles from her husband and this song is all about their conversation on bangles.
Probably I'll visit this place again and again just to listen this untainted voice.

Abdul Basit sir.. it's a conversation between a man and his wife.. the wife pleads her husband for getting her new bangles, saying that a bangle seller having colourful yellow bangles has come to sell bangles while her old bangles were broken while doing work. First the husband advices her how can she save her bangles from breaking but later he promises his beloved saying that accompany me to the city and I'll get u new pairs of bangles..❤ It's a beautiful conversation of two lovers..

Bro, kangra? Its a ghadi song from chamba. You can get guess from language dialogues and jammu mentioned in rhyme. Mostly folks of chamba mentioned jammu in lyrics.

Himachali naam ki koi chez nhi hai himachal mein Dogri language kangra, mandi and lower chamba mandim boli jati hai baki ki language samjh b nhi aye gi... Himachali dialect naam ki koi cheez nhi hai.
