I dream of her occasionally always dreaming of how we’ll meet each other again. It’s been almost 4 years since I lost contact with her. At the time I felt hopeless, she never gave a number, she didn’t have social media, and I didn’t know what school she moved to. But I moved on. I started to like other girls and eventually I forgot about her. I didn’t think it mattered if we met again since I was interested in girls I went to school with. And then... I got transferred to homeschool. This was before the whole pandemic btw. And I felt like I was deprived of not being loved, but loving someone. I started to think of all the girls I liked, and regret not confessing to a single one of them. But there was one girl who stood out among the ones I liked. It was this girl whom I had known since Kindergarten. I don’t know why, but I kept thinking back to how close were. I realized that I was who I was because of her and my other best friend at the time. I remembered all the times we would hang out, talk, and draw. I remembered how I used to draw things for her. I wouldn’t have gotten into art in the first place if it weren’t for her. I would’ve been another athlete, not that it was a bad thing. I miss that. I remember dreaming of the day I could meet her again. It was at some sort of event and my previous best friends were there too. I don’t really remember what I said, but those dreams always ended before I could confess. They felt so real I thought they were real. And I wish they were. Sadly, I might never see her again. But hopefully, I’ll find another.

About 2 months ago a friend of mine took his life. Ever since then every few days it hits me that he isnt there anymore. I have a few close friends and he was one of them. I called him some time before that and we made plans for what we would do after the pandemic. He seemed like he always did. Happy? I never thought. It never occured to me that he could be suffering and I dont know. When i heard the news i felt guilt. Many told me it wasn't my fault, how could it be? But i considered him a very good friend and i thought i was the same to him. We tried alcohol together, we planned on smoking weed on 2020 new years but i ended up too drunk and passed out and he smoked two joints on his own. I regret not staying awake that night. I regret not knowing how he was. I feel like i let him down. I looked up to him but failed to see how he felt. RIP brother. You will be missed.

It’s nostalgic. Looking back to these old memories, remembering what was, what will be, and what won’t. How do you cope with someone you had major feelings for hates you, and thinks you’re the one person they never want to see? How do you cope when that one person, who hates your guts and wants nothing to do with you, is one of your only memories of happiness? A couple years ago, there was this girl. We knew of each other, but didn’t know each other. We were both invited to the same Halloween party. That whole night we danced and sang together while walking through neighborhoods. Once we left I went straight to bed. When I had awoken, I noticed she had texted me while I was asleep. It was a text saying she had a lot of fun and that she regrets not getting a bit closet with me. After that, everyday at school we would talk and look at each other with that stare you give your bowl of spaghetti as you sit and watch it heat up in the microwave. Her birthday cake around and I decided to get her a big gift. She’s madly in love with pandas, so I decided to get her a $60 giant stuff panda. At school I came early so that it would be a complete surprise. How I fit it in my locker without tearing or anyone else seeing it, I’m still not sure. At the end of the day I told her to stay at her locker and wait for me. When I walked up she was facing the opposite way. By then there was a whole crowd gathering behind me, waiting for her to notice and see her cute reaction. When she finally turned around, she let out a big laugh and gave me the biggest hug I’ve ever received and ever will receive. We kept on being very happy seeing each other and being with each other for another month. At the start of December however, she decided we’d be better off as friends. I told her I understood, but inside I was completely torn. Although we hadn’t known each other for very long, I felt like we were an elderly couple that got married together at age 20, and that we’ve been together for over 40 years. I was heartbroken. That night I had the dream. It was beautiful. There’s no other way to put it other than that it was the most beautiful and detailed dream I’ve ever had, and I remember it perfectly. In the dream, we were that elderly couple. I dreamt about everything I was feeling. It ranged from us crying together, to us splashing around in a pool full of jellyfish. It’s so odd yet for some reason, I felt at peace. After that we didn’t talk a lot for a good whisks until the next school year. That year, we again went to the same Halloween party, but this time is was odd. We still sang and danced and walked together, but this time her best friend would come in to make things awkward. She grew to hate me over that school year. I didn’t really mind as long as i could still her cute face, but it kind of hurt to watch her slowly hate to even look at mine. She moved across the country that summer. The only thing I wish that could really have been different, is for her to not hate me the way she does. Since her move, she hasn’t seen me change. Even her best friend sees that I’m different. I just wish she didn’t move with the thought of me as that kid that loves her while she hates me. I still remember when I found this song years ago and it portrayed how I was going to feel after walking away from someone forever and it had few views, now that I see so many millions of views it makes me think how many people are going through something similar or worse than asking about these types of songs or you just find them by chance, remember, if you are going through something serious always ask for help, family, friends, acquaintances, psychologist, there will always be someone and keep going.

When I was 18 (1st year college), I had full of hopes. I want to excel on my course, try socialization and have a girlfriend (because I'm always an introverted) and enjoy my youth more. As time went on, I didn't excel on my course, I messed up, and I'm alone most of the time. Got depressed, lost some of my best friends, failed my calculus subject even though I've already gave my all, going home every night drained, and I cry almost everyday questioning if my existence have purpose. I also know a girl from the other course. Classmate of my best friend from the other course. My best friend said we have many similarities, and he's excited for me to meet her. But I didn't get a chance to meet her because I'm so messy and there are so many things happening that time. Now I'm 22, and I'm about to graduate in July. I won't call it I excelled, but I survived my final college years, and I've found 1-2 friends (not best friends) in whom I can trust and help each other to survive in university. The pandemic is both blessing and tragedy. Because of this pandemic, my mental health kinda improved, but despite that, there are many things pandemic took away from us like the final 2 years of my face-to-face college life. I've realized so many things because of pandemic and now, every time I remember what I planned and wished when I was 18, it turned completely opposite from what it is in present. Every time I think that some things don't go as planned, it just makes me so sad. Even though you attempted to make it work. Even though you gave your all. Even though you made actions yet there are still some things you just cannot control. Oh yeah, I also never met the girl. Fvk life.

And that's why I have set low hopes and standards for my future life, iv always knew this never go as planned as time went on, realizing that, its gotten a little depressing. But reading your story kinda gave me some motivation, that if my life does end up similar to that, maybe I can do my best to try and change it yk? But apart from that I hope that one day you come across that certain someone who loves you and things in your life turn up for you and life because a lil better.

@@diego_2829 One of the things that I've, learned is, don't come to the future. Let the future come to you. Because we really cannot predict what the future has in store for us. The best thing that we can do is to prepare and do the things that we can control, and that is the "present".
