@@R0boM0use Even as a nostalgic person I gotta admit there is a lot of truth in what you're saying. The animation used, combined with the music made me feel so sad for the guy on the train. The guy is probably up before the sun, goes to work, gets his ass yelled at by his incompetent superiors all day, forced to stay late, finally leaves work after a long day, day is no longer day but now night time, his most sought after moment of his day is just being able to sit down for a bit on the train.

I find it fascinating how anime and music like this or Nujabes has created such an idea of Japan in my head that I just know its not real. I know it must be a sort of dream. This stuff and being up at 3am also sort of mythicizes for me. There is something just relatable about this melancholy attitude. I've never been to Japan. In a really small way I don't want to go because I don't want to ruin my dream of it.

Nostalgia is such a feeling like it can make you feel so warm and happy remembering something or someone that you did or loved, then could completely fuck you over when u realise you'll never be able to do that again or go there again or see that person again and suddenly you feel so empty inside, maybe like crying cause you never intended or wanted to let go but you did and it's gone forever

It’s a Friday afternoon, school just got out for summer, you get in the car to go on vacation, you feel these butterflies in your stomach as you remember the best and the worst times of your year, and that it just ended so fast. It then turns night as you head over the mountains looking at the city lights flashing from miles, you see a lake with people on it, you see everyone is happy, and you eventually fall asleep. That is what this song feels like.

The vibe I get from this song is: a person surrounded with hope, and many opportunities, but is too afraid of losing the image they've built of themselves over the years, someone who desperately needs help but is too afraid to ask for it, someone you can trust, but really, that person can't even trust themselves. All of what I've just described is me, and I don't know if anyone will ever be able to relate to this, but if you can, just know: you aren't alone, many people care for you, and don't do anything stupid.
@alexakel7803 жыл бұрын
I might be 2 years late for this lol. But I think we can all see ourselves a bit in kudasai's music. My advice to you is to trust yourself, look at your situation from an outsider's perspective and do what you would tell someone else in your situation to do. A self image is important but we can't drown in the painting we painted of ourselves.

We all often put on a fake persona to avoid being rejected by society and to conform to its standards. I am glad the lofi community lets us put our true feelings out on the table; there do not seem to be too many communities where that is the case.

yeah, I feel the same. Especially when it comes to tracks like this.

It gives me a vibe as if I am living alone somewhere by myself, earning, cooking, cleaning, eating, working and coming home.
Exhausted from the day. Finding comfort amongst strangers. The train carries all emotion.

Just heard that a childhood friend of mine passed away from an overdose today. I hadn't spoken with him in years, but we were close back before he moved away. I have loved this song for a while now. When I was scrolling through his page after I heard that he's gone, reminiscing about what things were like years ago, I saw that he had shared this song. RIP CL. I will always remember how you made me laugh.

Thanks for the non "rip X" comment that's flooding this comment section. I understand that people want to grieve, but they are ruining it for the fans and community members who come to appreciate the music and artists. There are different, less obnoxious, and repressing ways of doing this. It makes no sense here, especially since the music is not made by him and there is no reference to X anywhere in the music, image, or in the description of the video.

Was roommates with a Kazakh in China once in 2016. We're both musicians and I introduced this song to him and flamingosis became his favorite producer the next 3 years we were there. Those were some of the best times in my life so far. This song didn't give so much nostalgia to me back then - I didn't watch hey, Arnold so much as a kid, but now it is rich and full of nostalgia and I can relive those nights with my brother sitting on the couch, stoned to the bone off road weed. Miss and love you, Aza

Its a good one. And everything above is just my random perspective and thought about random thing, i wrote it in vietnamese cause i'm bad enough to not write it in english (edit 2nd: remember: language barrier is a thing, it isn't nothing) and while listening to this music, not favorite track but favorite background.

I'm lying on my back in the soft grass of the hill near my home. The birds chirp and the distant sound of lawn mowers ring out. My closest friends, me and *her* all just laying back and gazing up into the sky. A soft lo fi tune plays over the radio. It smells of fresh cut grass and the warm summer wind carries memories of better times, i feel someone grab hold of my hand and I look at who it is. There she lays gazing at me as I gaze at her. No words needed we know that it has to end... I open my .mouth to speak... but then I woke up.
