This is so much more of an appealing martial arts style then the cage sport of MMA! I truly believe kudo is very practical and extremely effective for street self-defense much more so than MMA! That kimono is a weapon not to mention kudo has all of the techniques and tricks that MMA has and even some tactics that MMA does not have! Kudo is excellent! Just imagine how effective you could actually be as a martial artist if you cross train Judo and kudo!

衣服を掴まれたら、体に抱きつかれたら、 突き蹴りは出せませんから、 空道こそがもっとも空手的な競技だと思います。 この人の技術は別格ですけど、 意外と実戦はランダムでガチャガチャした動きになったりすると思うんです。 極真もカッコいいし、寸止めも美しいですが、 様式や形式に取られず格闘のできる空手といえば、空道なのかと。 あ、そういえば昔は空道じゃなくて、格闘空手でしね。 繰り返しますが、ただしこの人は別格です。

Oh,that's a kind of trans an altered state of mind. Is it difficult to travel into that space and out of that. You seem to have got into a different world with different state of mind. Does it involve the rest of your life or is it confind by the gym? My son is into kudo, but he's got a simple physical practic,I think. Special soul effords are needed to have a proper fight,doesn't it?

As a traditional/japanese jiu jitsu practitioner I have to say, that this basically the same but with other name!

I didn't know jui jitsu did full contact sparring, that's cool. This video is a bit old though. Kudo has evolved a lot. It changes very fast. That's the whole point of the art, to keep an open mind. So while a lot of the stances are still the same you see a lot more complex judo as well as ground game.
