あくまでも僕の考えですが刺身に関しては塩も醤油も付けず、魚の旨みだけで美味いものが最も美味しい刺身だと考えてます。そして別に脂の乗り具合のコンディションもそれほど良くない状態で、とてつもない旨みを持ってるヒゲダイには感動しました。 そこも加味して刺身としてのポテンシャルはNo.1と判断しました。 いつの時期に脂が乗るんでしょうかね。次食べるのが楽しみすぎます。 しかも、こいつ他の魚みたいに色んなもの食べずに海綿ばっかりひたすら食べてるから味のバラツキも少ない可能性が高いです。 クエなどのハタ系や肉食魚が重宝されるのは、魚肉しか食べず味のブレが少ないからだと思っているのですが、その点においてもヒゲダイは素晴らしい可能性が高いです。 そして味覚はかなり慣れが影響しますのでゴリゴリの食感に慣れてる人は、ヒゲダイ微妙だと感じると思います。 僕も山口で育ちましたのでゴリゴリ以外刺身じゃないと以前は言ってましたが熟成の世界の扉を開けるともっと楽しくなりますよ❤ また、生産地付近の鮮度がバチバチの魚が手に入る恵まれた地域のまだ熟成が始まってないゴリゴリの食感の刺身を濃い味の甘口醤油で味を付けて楽しむ九州の刺身文化も好きですし、東京などどうしても輸送に1、2日かかってしまい、鮮度的にゴリゴリの食感を提供できないため熟成が前提の地域の熟成させた旨みのある柔らかい刺身をサッパリした醤油や柚子胡椒、塩でいただくのも好きです。

So Hapalogenys nigripinnis (or short barbeled velvetchin /short barbeled grunter) does eat small fish and crustaceans. I think he forgot that many fish can swallow prey whole and crush it using their throat. A very good example of fish that usually do this are large mouth bass and Barramundi, predatory fish that don't have barbed teeth in their mouth

クラゲのことは詳しく知らないんですが、おっしゃるとおりエチゼンクラゲだと思います。 最近、韓国の東海全域で"노무라입깃해파리"と言うエチゼンクラゲが大量に発生しており、けっこう大変なことになってます。 見た目が似てるので同じ種類じゃないかと思います。

Masaru , since you do spear fishing, why don't you pluck some seaweed and make dried konbu , then you can use the dried konbu as wrap to age the fish, wouldn't it make an awesome dish?
