@@michaelr9215 Only just got to Kugane after three months (why I was doing the sightseeing logs for it) so I probably won't get to actually play Dawntrail for another half a year or so haha since I'm taking my time with all the content and there's an absolute ton of it.

This video is a godsend. I struggled so much climbing that tower and those tips about watching for the corners and learning how to sidehop correctly saved me boatloads of time and frustration. That jump down at the end was perfect execution. The tips on the placement and timing of the jump was so useful for me, I had to only make the jump down ONCE. I quit in Oct 2017, for a lot of reasons, but I never did make it up here and many a night ended in a rage-quit. After returning this past Summer 2021, I decided to give this another serious go after doing the Radz-at-Han one without too much trouble. Huge thanks! Been to the top once before, back when I first visited Kugane, but missed the lamp post going down. Had tried to reach the top again (I honestly don't know how I did it so "easily" the first time XD) and always ended up shy of the top. Took me a few days of trying and watching this as reference, but finally reached the top again. Got the lamp post this time with the help of your spot-on tips for lining up and the timing of the jump. Phew! I don't want anymore like that. XD

My hero. I failed that last jump on lamp post 3 times, because I didn't know you should use sprint. Then after your video I landed!.. But it was so unexpected that I slipped before taking vista. But on another try I finally managed. Phew. No more pain.

Thank you for the jump down, seeing how to align my character really helped. I only jumped a few frames after you but it put me past the lamppost but still on it's collision. I was literally standing on air. It didn't give me lookout so I was worried if I should just turn or backhop. But I just walked back and it was all good. I got to take a sick DRG screenshot :D
