I just got mine today too. I had to see if mine was defective because of how stiff that unfolding mechanism is. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who struggled a bit with that!

@@GiRides Yup, the Kugoo Kirin M4 Pro! I'm giving it a test ride on the weekend. I think the unfolding mechanism loosens up a little after letting it sit unfolded for a little while. I don't have to pull it open as hard to get the locking lever to engage. It probably is safer, but it was just surprising the first time I unfolded it.

Same problem with mine was extremely stiff even today i need to use a really thick piece of wood to hit the thing on it to make it fold.

@@juseenthankulendiran Don't be gentle and brace your foot on it the way GI Rides does in the video. I prefer to jerk it open in a single move. When folding it back up press down hard on the latch with your foot and body weight. A stiff/thick soled shoe works best.

I got mine and i love it, problem i had though is after 2miles yes only 2 it had developed an issue. The display was coming up with random colours all over the screen and the speed controller smelt horrible. I have had to replace both the box inside it and the display which increased the cost by £80. Shame really. Good scooter if it wasn't for the hash job with the wiring on the inside. I've also taken my rgb led strips off
