That sucks re the customer service GTK. I've been testing some Sitka and First Lite gear this last 12 months and I'm impressed with the performance. Will try to put a new video together shortly.

NOW THAT IS A REVIEW. PEOPLE LOSE INTEREST REAL QUICK ON THESE REVIEWS THAT LAST SEVERAL MINUTES. THIS FELLOW SHOWED HOW TO BE THOROUGH AND INFORMATIVE. THE ONE THING THAT STOOD OUT TO ME WAS THAT THE PNUMA SEEMED TO HOLD AN ODOR WHERE I DINT RECALL THAT BEING MENTIONED ON KUIU

Try 1/3 cup of borax, 1/3 cup of baking soda and your detergent. Wents well for getting sweat smell out.

Nice review, never ran pnuma but I’ve been running kuiu for about 5 years now, slowly adding a couple of pieces every season. I run the kutana pant for early season hunts and the attack/pro pant for later season hunts. I also run the merino tops for both and love them. I’ve realized I’ll pay a premium for being comfortable in the backcountry.

Nice dude. Sounds like you are covered for most situations. I want to build out my Kuiu collection but would like to try some of the Sitka gear as well. That Optifade Subalpine pattern has a lot of uses for the hunting I do.

@@WillsGoneWalkabout yeah I want to build a set of optifade or some first lite stuff to have a bit of a variety as well. The verde works great for most of the hunts I do in New Mexico mountains but I plan to venture to some other western states and want to build out a bit more of a variety.

@@WillsGoneWalkabout So I livE and hunt in Maine and NH and I’m extremely hard on pants!!! We wear wool most of the time but I always have a pair of pants like some from Cabelas. The problem is even at $125 these pants after 3-4 hunts resembled a gilly suit as the raspberry bushes and dense under brush creates tons of picking. This drives me nuts!!! I also wear wool as it’s almost totally silent while staking through woods. How would the Kuiu be as far as noise goes in the woods?

I use 3 different hunting companies, Kuiu, Pnuma and Badlands. I find that Kuiu has more of an athletic fit which I like for my frame type. Pnuma seems to be more baggie and built for more thicker people. Kuiu comes off as being more bomb proof and I just think it will last longer then Pnuma. Toss up between Kuiu and Badlands, in my opinion I tend to use Kuiu when I am more active and will use Pnuma when I am sitting in a stand. The other brand, Badlands, I put between Kuiu and Pnuma on all catagories. My personal opinion, quality wise I put Kuiu above Pnuma. I also put Badlands above Pnuma. I am not saying that Pnuma is bad by any means. I do wear their gear quite often. I agree with Camo pattern, can't go wrong with any of the brands I have mentioned.

David, I agree with your Kuiu vs Pnuma assessment above. I just got a pair of the Kuiu Tiburon pants in Valo for early season hot weather hunting in the south east. Taking them out tomorrow, but for first look they are the real deal. I'm giving some Sitka gear a run in the late season. Picked up some of the colder weather gear over the summer sales. Their stuff also looks like a quality product.

lol ha ha!,, In the early fall and after spring green up I still wear some old Vietnam era tiger stripe . Not the cheap cloth reproduction junk but the real thing. Mine is about wore out and it’s soft and quiet. You know how animals can hear a shirt rustling as you draw the bow. The best I’ve ever used in cooler temps is lightweight fleece jacket over a polyester shirt. Deadly quiet. I hate pants with shallow pockets or small openings.

About 6 years ago I bought the HECS clothing. It was invented to disrupt the electrical out put of the wearer. I use it on nearly every bow hunt. On the ground or up in one of the ladder stands. I honestly believe this stuff works. I mean you still have to hunt the wind but I’ve had coyotes bobcats within 5 yards and never knew I was there. Of course I’m fully camouflaged face and all. I also 99% of the time a loose-leaf style suit and head cover.

pnuma is a bit cheaper in price, but their pants are expensive. otherwise, a cheaper setup from what I've seen. interested in long term durability
