The main purpose of applying for assistant is basically to be close to her because he missed her a lot during the dark days of take over. He has no problem starting all over to win her. Xiaosu, on the other hand, has to overcome her insecurity. From what we have seen, his world is being opened up to her. The friends she met never treated her badly. The Dr's mother did worse for something that happened in the past, yet she forgave her. Yuzheng, on the other hand, has always been honest with her even during the time he was prejudiced with her. He does not have flowery words, but if you recall their talk on the bridge before he was arrested and those they had at the island, they were tye most open and honest feeling he has for her.

2 things caught my attention in this episode. 1. The magnanimity of Yuzheng to let go of the past by still allowing Mr Lin to lead his company tomporarily and give back all the evidence for Mr Lin's crime as he even cited the achievements during the stockholders' meeting. 2. He now has to work seriously to win back the love of his life now that the company, its employees and stockholders are safe from being overtaken. I love the contrast between his serious expression when he was addressing the board of directors and his light hearted expression while applying for a job as assistant to Xiaosu. His face is so warm. (Very good acting on Shawn Dou) 😊😊😊

Mr Lin caused a lot of trouble for yuzheng, not only emotionally but the damage to his reputation and goodwill, aside from the danger it brought to the company and all the staff. Mr Lin put him in prison for something he is innocent of and as a consequence caused the illness and eventual death of yuzheng's father. The one who forgives and lets go of the past has the biggest heart ❤. Hopefully, Mr Lin will not be tempted once in prison and use that to remember his wife and child.

Xiaosu just has too many insecurities and she always lets it get the best of her. I'm almost convinced she doesn't believe she's deserving of happiness... whenever she gets close to it, she stops and runs in the other direction without even giving it a chance. She once told Yuzheng (when he first confessed his love to her) she is a person who is extremely insecure in love and she wanted to know why he likes her. She told him "I'm not that good", which shows her mentality. In spite of her positive spirit and her tenacity, she has an inferiority complex and it takes over her personal life. The warm memories with Yuzheng on the island and him playing assistant to her, catering to her and supporting her in every way... it all feels like an illusion, a fantasy that isn't truly attainable to her. She is always mindful of his identity and she's afraid that sooner or later, they have to return to the "real" world where he isn't the same "ordinary" Yuzheng he was during those times together, instead he is the extremely handsome, wealthy and successful President of a conglomerate, from the elite social class; the man who everyone follows and looks up to, as well as the most desirable man to every women... all of these things feed into her insecurities. During their dinner, there were several times where she gave her insecurities away - when she mentioned how other girls must love his cooking, and when she told him he was doing too well/good for her to take and that she didn't want him to have to change just for her... the subtext in her statement is that she's just not deserving enough for him to do all this for her. This feeling of a gap between them that is too large to overcome started the moment Yuzheng wanted to share his life with her by introducing his lifestyle, his friends and his business connections to her; that's when she realized she might not be good enough for this. This is her own problem she has to overcome gradually and it starts with communication to her partner. It's just she refuses to open up her true feelings and insecurities with him which is really frustrating to watch, especially when Yuzheng has already proven he's willing to try anything and everything to make them work because true love is worth it.

Almost done with this drama. Such a well written piece with all the characters even the "villains". I like how Mr. Lin, Ms, Jiang, and even the annoying best friend Si Qi matured by the end. Appreciate the writer's attempt to show growth in each character and how they evolved over time. We don't see that very often in dramas. Usually an annoying/bad characters stays that way. And of course I love the ML and FL's chemistry. At first I though it would be hard to transition from the SL after his death. Although it's still sad to see him die, the chemistry between the ML and FL is amazing even when they aren't getting along. And loved the FL's interaction with the ML's father. That was so tender and sweet even if it was just for a shortwhile. It left a hole in my heart after he passed. Wish it could have been longer. Experienced so many emotions watching this drama the last few days.

now Lei Yuzheng have free time he focus all his energy on getting Xiaosu back. he refused to take no for answer. Lei jammed the door open with his feet when she don't want him into her apartment. Xiaosu told Lei, she's too tired to take him back. now I understand why this drama titled : Tears In Heaven. last word Zhenrong said to Lei at the airport was , is to take care and protect Xiaosu. Lei did the opposite. Xiaosu's tears never dried since Zhenrong died. I believe the same for him in heaven, Zhenrong is crying for Xiaosu's pain, suffering and hardship caused by Lei.

It's one thing not to send Lin to prison, but keeping him at Yutian, let alone in position of power doesn't work for me. Yuzheng being the bigger person should mean him letting the people who sent him to prison and tried to steal his father's company get off the hook. Meanwhile, Yuzheng never tested Qunfei or Siqi. He gave Qunfei some very sound advice about how he should live within his means and not let someone else's greed over extend him. Qunfei couldn't afford to buy a house and Siqi used that to justify refusing his marriage proposal and dating someone else. Bosses don't typically give employees loans. I'm not sure if Qunfei could take out a loan from the company or why he didn't apply for a home loan from a bank like most people do, but I think it's unfair to attack Yuzheng for not giving him the money just because Yuzheng is rich himself. We never saw anything to indicate Yuzheng didn't value hard work or wasn't willing to work hard for his own success. Yes he grew up with material success and comfort, but that doesn't mean he grew up without problems or that those problems don't matter just because they weren't material. He went to work everyday, handled his job efficiently, effectively and professionally. And the whole thing about Xiaosu and the apartment was because he thought she didn't love his late friend and had broken his heart.

I was just about to rant about the first part of your comment…totally agree with you! There is no way, given his personality and the lengths he took to get back Yutian that he would just give it to Lin like that… what person with any intelligence would do that?! It’s cute that he wants to be her “ assistant “ but totally out of character and I’m not buying it. I really loved this drama with the character development of the main leads, up until these last few episodes. It’s like they decided to give everyone screen time to fill up the episodes to stretch it to the 40+ episodes. I get it, they get more money if they have more episodes but the downfall is that the main leads’ storyline got placed on a stalemate and really lost the depth that the other two couples’ stories got. Fanglv and Lin got more screen time than Xiaosu🤷‍♀️

Did some digging in the net and discovered that Tears in Heaven also was filmed under the name Flowers on the Sea .same story but with the entire 45 episodes ..apparently there are some problems in airing the series so if anyone can get more information we can then see the entire story to the end and not an abrupt ending???
