I understand and I agree with you, but, he also has to allow himself to heal, without dragging and putting misery to those around him. There are so many puzzle pieces in his brain, especially knowing that people closest to him have lied and allowed him to carry the bitterness of abandonment, when in fact, that was not the case. Xiaosu has to allow him to do that and not be stubborn about helping him.

The torture and torment of yuzheng right now is really heartbreaking. Some of you have commented that he should get over himself and stop being pitiful, but grief, pain and guilt have different effects on people. IKR, in some ways Xiaosu is a stronger character than the ml. She has been through so much but remains positive while Yuecheng is wasting time and energy having a pity party. Maybe, Mr Lei Sr will still die because he was sick, but the circumstances of how the seriousness and ultimately his death could have been different if not for someone who wants to win, by any means.
