Can anyone find the Jack Mabley column in the Chicago Daily News that is referenced in this episode? Would love to read it!

I grew up on KFO but had forgotten how good it was. On in the afternoon in Detroit on WWJ. NBC sure looked better than CBS, Decent tone rendition. KFO was so friendly and good natured. Love it. Thanks for posting.

Regarding the question of the Jack Mabley column, I'm pretty sure the issues of the Chicago Daily News would have been preserved on microfiche or microfilm and would be available at the Chicago Public Library and/or one of the university libraries in or around Chicago (U. of Chicago, Northwestern, Loyola, DePaul, etc.). No use contacting the Daily News itself, since it folded (so to speak) many years ago. The comics in the Daily News were some of my first reading matter and it was sad when they stopped publishing. I never heard of Jack Mabley, but I think a column mentioning Fletcher Rabbit may have been fictitious. But then maybe not.
