I’m a Kuku main in joust. Love him but I think you’re build could be better. I like the idea of breastplate with double dive physical but I think ob shard and soul reaver could be changed. Poly is incredible with Kuku (earlier the better imo) but so is calamitous rod. Its a confirmed calamitous on a 1 hit then with a poly auto you can easily hit 1000k damage in under 1.5s. Then follow with Nado and its a death. I think alternate, book, breastplate, poly, typhons, rod would have worked well. If double carry on opponents side, I switch breastplate to deso or divine. Maybe both if needed and sub out tahuti. Good gameplay though, thanks for it!

Hey trelli. Could u try using this build on Kuku and tell me if its a good build or not? Its my go to build and i do great with it. So its Sands of time starter which i upgrade to the left upgrade which has 20% CDR (sorry bad memory forgot name), book of thoth, warlocks staff, poly, and depending on their comp i use an anti heal item or ob shard, then lastly rod of tahuti. (think i spelled that right). Thats my go to Kuku build and it feels great. Ik double stacking is not always the best bc it takes time to get online but let me know what u think.

Sitting in my class before it starts and seeing kuku being played is cool. I haven't been building a def on him, but the breastplate and sands of time does just make life easier. I'll start building that a bit though. Would you be down to try conduit or vamp shroud instead just to test the waters? 🤔 Oh and good video, of course.

I hate Kuku, I don’t know if it’s just me and I’m semi-retarded, but I cannot land his abilities to save my life. Even hitting the slow on the 1, It takes a short eternity for the whirlwind to actually start doing damage and I miss the damn 1 all the time.

Key is the 1 into the nado. 2 and run up a lil, press 1 and hit, then use that pressure and toss a nado to the back left or right of them and ult to the other way so they have no escape. After that your 1 should be off cooldown and you can use it again to kill.

Late 2014-2016, Kuku was my main. He used to be better back then, but not so much anymore. That isn't to say he's terrible (and in the hands of someone really good, like Trelli, he can make some impressive plays). The devs have played around with how long the 3 takes to apply the DoT, how many ticks the 3 does, the slow on the 1, etc... At a few points, he's been really strong. The nerfening hit him particularly hard (his thing has traditionally been low scaling on the 3 and really high power). Losing more power than most in the nerfening was pretty bad for him. There are some good builds with poly and his 1, but it's not amazing and isn't as much fun. A long time ago, gem of isolation was pretty good on him, since it stacked with the 1 slow and made landing the 3 easier (they still stack, but the current gem doesn't feel as good on him). In summary, it's not you. It's that he's not very high skill-cap (hence, why I liked playing him) and he did well, so he got nerfed quite until he was average and then the nerfening hit lots of items and made him worse than average.

Like with a lot of god's it's often about anticipating where the enemy will go rather than trying to just plonk his 3 right on top of them. Think about where they're likely to move to based on where they are in lane and where your team mates and their team mates already are etc.
