Kukulkan, also known as Quetzalcoatl to the Aztecs, Ehecatl, Gucumatz to the Quiche, A Mayan group located in modern day Guatemala, was the feathered serpent deity of Mayan mythology. He is prominent in many Mesoamerican cultures. He was particularly important for the Yucatec Mayan, but for all Mesoamericans, Kukulkan was a creator god who also brought rain and winds.

Sorry I’m late but this has been a big problem for the last couple years; around the same time all those movie recap videos started getting me popular; they’re all made from “ad farms” in the east where it’s a couple accounts run by one person that make ai synopses of whatever topic it is and the owner of the channels just fills in the video with random no copyright clips. It’s gotten really bad now with how fast Ai is growing to the point you really only need a prompt on what you want the video to be and it will pop something like this out. TLDR: None of these kinds of videos are made by real people; just Chinese ai advertising/view farms

Not just Mexican culture but Guatemalan culture as well. Guatemala and few parts of Mexico close to Guatemala still speak those old Mayan languages. Up north of Mexico is where the culture starts to disappear but down south is where the culture was really at. Mexico and Guatemala has a lot in common like it or not.

Quetzalcóatl pronunciation- KET TZAL CÓ @. The L in the end of any word if comes after a T, is omitted in the nahuatl language. That's why you can make the exact sound as @ at. Even the word Náhuatl is a good example; NáU@/NáUat. H is omitted if comes after a vowel letter, but also, the U carries the sound than in english is obtained by spelling two O letters one after another. Ket is the sound of Quet . Tzal is the sound of Zal. And Co-@, or; Có at, is the sound of; Cóatl. My pleasure!

I'm just trying to help with the pronunciation because I know Náhuatl language is a little harder than Spanish for english speakers, and the way I do is using letters, which in English sound the most accurate possible to the correct pronunciation of the subject in the original language. If I write Quetzalcóatl in the way that it sounds when is spelled by a english speaking person, I would write down like this; Cooet zal quato. Same being with a different name(and language); Kukulkán although is way easier, it would be Ku cool cán.

Similar is krishna. His other local name is maayon. He had a dragon snake and eagle king with him. Around 2000 BC, he was a hero in sangam era in the south of india. In his full form the the snake sesha hoods around him and the bird eagle soars around him. Another dragon snake is Vasuki. The garden of Eden is guarded by two dragon serpents. One of them denotes consciousness and the other one does the void or the empty field. Each coiled around the respective state and field above mind. It means it's protected and guarded and the entry is forbidden fruit mind or matrix. Kukulkan is the sesh nag in India and many different names all over the world and universe.

Yo Thanks for the Video, it’s well composed and has cool illustrations. I wonder if the 91 X 3 + 92 was a motif for leap years 🤔❔ Another cool detail: The stone blocks establish acoustic intervals that mimic the sound of a resplendent quetzal bird, which looks like a winged serpent. It’s interesting that Quetzal is a serpent-like bird and coatl means serpent, so there is a redundancy and emphasis on the snake like quality of Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent. Given there is an ocean on either side separating America from Africa & Europe, how fascinating it is that the Hebrew religion considers the serpent a symbol of wisdom; a snake is a nearly blind creature which has to stay low to the ground. Quetzalcoatl was a healer and teacher, somewhat similar to Thoth of Egypt, who taught the arts of healing, magic, and thaumaturgy. The trickster god of commerce & communication, Mercury, wields a winged serpent staff. There is an overlay between solar gods as well, given the significance of the equinox and the Sun’s path of diminishment and renewal, the promise of his inevitable return. Another fascinating detail: snakes move by oscillating in a fashion that resembles frequency, somewhat like a plucked guitar string. It’s funny that they considered our movement astronomically snake-like, oscillating to and fro in the precession of the equinoxes and the dance of an elliptical revolving body of the heavens.

I know much more about the Aztec version of this god and his role in the creation of humans, than the Maya version. I think he is a creator god in the Maya religion too? Also, when you say the words for sky and snake have the same pronunciation in English and Mayan, does that mean the Mayan words for those things sound the same spoken as the English words "sky" and "snake", or that the way English speakers pronounce the Mayan language words is in fact the correct Mayan pronunciation? Great video!

Depends on the dialect some say kan to mean snake hence the term kukul CAN = feathered serpent, but some refer to serpents as chan rather than kan. Who knows which one is the original way to say it. Also Mayan have the K’ with the ‘ right in front of k and that creates a glottal stop almost sounding like the click sounds in the South African language called Xhosa. So who knows if it’s kan or k’an to distinguish between sky and snake. 🤔 I’m not a Mayan speaker but I have researched the language a bit

In chichinitza The sacrifices were only done as teen children would race across the fields from the playing fields to the pillars. Each piillars is the burial place of a sacrificial life, sacrifice of the winer, and they were usually lower class teens and the families of the winning teen would be the lifted to high class living as it was an honor to be sacrificed for many generation of that teens family. Sacrifices were not as it was seen on everyone may think. The Wayans were not a warrior race. Mayans are very small people. They were farmers and mathematicians. Yes, there were warriors but farmer warriors who worked all year round to live and trade. Sacrifices were only done when the red moons would arrive and shine through the two chambers as a symbol that Kukulkan was coming to provide for the mayan farmers. It's a beautiful, spiritual place to visit. I recommend it. Lots of energy and spirituality flowing through the area. It's a beautiful yet very hot place to visit.
