My Kenyan friend I experienced the same thing coming bk home after 17 years away.she had to give them 10 thousand shillings best way to travel kenya use Ethiopianairline to Mombasa then go Nairobi from there jmka airport Nairobi r terrible.going back with Qatar Airlines in Nairobi were worst.next time she took Ethiopian Airlines.they say they r the pride or Africa but corruption is hard there.we blame Nigerians but kenya is very corrupted there..I like kenya but ehh that airport is funked up not welcoming at all
