@@deysarmi while I agree with you here, that is precisely why people need to find a way to control their freaking out tendency when they enter into such zone. Hopefully all of the people could learn some valuable life lessons correctly. But to not understate stuff, to "not freak out" in such situations is an art that needs years of practice and a non-woke attitude towards life, which sadly many more people are missing now-a-days than a generation earlier.

It's d rafting company fault too, they shud prepare these people, teach them survival tips, warn them about mishaps first., they shud not take persons who don't know swimming, But then these companies want to earn money. I had a great time rafting some time back, the river was calm then.

What you said is something like this - Airline company needs to prepare their passenger for airpockets & turbulence. And you had a great flight because you weather was good. Freaking out is okay, not everyone can controll that, even though I like being in company of pros, who can control their freaking out tendency. But in a group some people will freak out. But more important is that the guide did an excellent job.

Why were tourists not paddling? It's important all.paddle by sides for balance than just one guide at back. In my countless family raft trips we all paddle using brute force cutting water with face of paddle never had problems.
