LORETO, the northernmost municipality of Dinagat Island, and in some ways its final frontier.
And on Mount Redondo, is a more than one hundred hectare bonsai forest, sat in the clouds. A beautiful place, at the mercy of nature.
But first, we visit Sitio Campintac, otherwise known as Black Beach - it is where the US forces landed three days before beginning the liberation of the Philippines; a staging point for the Battle of Leyte.
And we cross so many wooden bridges to get here. A great adventure.

Like every pinoy in every street corner , Kumander is gleeful to talk with . Thank You for another PHl History Im not aware of : American Liberation Forces landed first in Dinagay before Palo, Leyte. I also learn fron my travel in Bohol , McArthur supposedly to land in Valencia , Bohol but an upcoming typhoon made them divert to land in Palo , Leyte. Soon, I will visit Dinagat , Island , I always get positive feedback of it. Its serenie beauty is my type .

Before MacArthur landed in Palo,Leyte they first set foot in San Rafael, Dulag Leyte raising the American Flag at Hill 120 the Town of Dulag was heavily damage by Japanese bombardments causing enormous damages on infrastructures more so on human casualties, hence the absence of top local officials to welcome the liberators and it was in Palo, Leyte where a less ravage town met them with its local officials and the rest is history . The town being acknowledge the Landing (official) site written in the history books ! There was sort of municipal resolution passed by Dulag Leyte during my incumbency as a member of the municipal council, citing an article with accompanying pictures of MaCarthur & Co landing in San Rafael Dulag, Leyte in Life Magazine USA !
