Udit narayan was more successful than sanu da. Udit sang more songs than sanu da. Sanu da's voice was changed & lost the magical touch in 1997-98 & he used to sing only limited flat type slow motion song. So most of the music director(Anand Milind, Jatin lalit, Biju sah, rajesh roshan, anu malik, himesh reshamiya, nadeem shravan) did not gave chance to sanu da after 1996. they prefer udit over sanu. after 1997/98 most of the songs(about 80%) sung by Udit Narayan till 2006. Udit spoiled sanu da's career in 1997. Udit sang 28000 songs in 40 languages whereas sanu da sang 22000 songs in 26 languages. Udit got more success than sanu da & he beated sanu da. Udit was much more versatile singer than sanu. But sanu da was more famous in media & television bcoz of wrong hype. I agree Sanuda was ahead of his competitors in the 90's , but not with all your facts. Uditji's was the favourite singer of Lataji and he sung more than 200 songs with her. No other singer is close in this in his generation. Lataji never compromise on quality. Also Laxmikant Pyarelal, Uttam Singh, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Shiv Hari, Bhupen Hazarika all these legends worked with Uditji more than Sanuda. I always find many interviews that Uditji praising his peer singers, hardly heard anything from Sanuda , he always talk about his achievement more. Please don't tell Sanuda become bore after 1998, being at the top how Sanuda fell suddenly which he never recovered from there. Main reason was split of Nadeem Shravan and less films for Anu malik and Jatin Lalit. IF you take the filmfare awards of Sanuda, 3 out of 5 are from NS songs only. Uditji's 5 filmfare awards are with 5 different music directors songs Uditji exists before Sanuda and after Sanuda phase, so his dedication, passion and attitude make him to achieve it. Even though Sanuda was riding high in the 90's , Uditji never lost his hope and doing his best in all his songs. I love Sanuda a lot, but for me Sanuda came like metorite and make a place in the heart in the 90's, but Uditjis is like a star who is singing from the 80's and till now, he is only singer who got filimfare awards in 3 decades, that itself show his longevity. In the last 1 year he got more than half dozen Oriya songs which got lakhs of views and in south Indian languages Sanuda's song is not heard much in last 10 years, but there also Uditjis is singing a lot . So my point is sanuda was ahead in the 90's no doubt about it and he will remain in our hearts for ever . But Longevity, Maintaining voice, Simplicity, original voice and style Uditji was far ahead from any other singer in his generation. And the greatest achievement is after Kishoreda's death , he was surrounded by lot of Kishoreda and Rafi saab clones who all are trying to make an impact where our Sanuda was also in the list. Suresh Wadekar and Hariharan were the only exception. But Uditji never tried to take that line, he believed himself and he continued to sing in his own style and voice. Many great musicians will agree that after Rafisaab and Kishoreda he is the one successful singer with a totally different style. Lataji, Jatin Lalit, Bappida, Anand Milind said this in many interviews Finally music wins and we love both Sanuda and Uditji, but for me to be honest with you don't like boosting one's achievement and degrading another one with word "LUCK"

Kumar Sanu is the only singer whose voice and singing I love.....but overall uditji is ahead than Kumar Sanu....from 1999 to 2015, Kumar Sanu was absent everywhere except listener's playlist and uditji got highest respect and recognition including Padma Bhushan......but with jio revolution, Kumar Sanu trumped not just uditji but Sonu, uditji and abhijeetji combined.....just check Google activity results from 2016, you can easily check.....Sanu is now present on every reality show be it singing, dance, comedy etc.....so off late Kumar Sanu has registered him as legend only due to massive following unparalleled...... still i would say uditji is ahead Kumar Sanu as he was active from 1988 to 2007 which is double to Sanu.... uditji Sang for more music directors like Sachin Jigar, Amit Trivedi, Ajay Atul, Adnan sami, Salim Sulaiman etc to pritam, Shankar ehsan Loy, shantanu moitra, rehman to ram laxman, uttam singh, shiv Hari etc while Sanu was denied working.....while i may be wrong though, Kumar Sanu has the Highest popularity among singers excluding very current ones.......

@@nostalgicvibes8751 you are right to point out that after 2000, Sanu had only Nadeem sharavan......even with only ns, Sanu delivered yeh dil aashiqana, dil hai tumhara, kasoor, hum ho gaye aapke, dil ka rishta, ek rishta, dharkhan, qayamat, haan maine bhi pyar kiya hai etc and only single song album with others music directors like no kehta hai Dil baar baar ( superb songs ), hungama, no entry, naam gum jaayega, humko tumse pyar hai, humraaz, aan, kuch tum kaho kuch hum kahe, kaho na pyar hai (Ishq vishk and chupa rustam had major share from Sanu) etc.....for big hero, there was Sajid Wajid song for Akshay banke rahega dildaar sanjna, tumse kiya hai blah blah in 2012 rowdy Rathore...dum laga ke haisa......i became Sanu fan in 2000 with ek rishta, kasoor, yeh dil aashiqana etc being played by my cousin on his tape received in dowry....i came to know his name from audio cassette, I saw Sanu on tv in this album in which he treads on pahadi maidan.....i clearly remember both events as I was only 7-8 years by then......there was no internet at that time even there was no single personal computer in my town by then.......from 2000 to 2004, there was only Sanu being played in shadis, thela walas, buses etc 90 percent Sanu exception being tere naam, Raaz and few others.......but i was heartbroken that big hero film didn't had Sanu.....Salman in yeh hai Jalwa, I saw on tv.....while uditji had all from ghadar to lagaan to Krish to koi mil Gaya to partner to swadesh and what not......jatin lalit, Rajesh Roshan both left Sanu completely.....only little help from Anu, himesh and Sanjeev darshan etc.....while shanka ehsan, shatanu moitra, Salim Sulaiman and pritam have zero song with Sanu......i used feel my star singer is out market why? Highly haughty nature in 90s (he had bitter relations with dharma, t series, rehman.....no relation with younger music directors etc), 5. Laziness, 6. No motivation to improve or innovate etc ............ My two cents on Sanu v Udit debate Sanu of 1991-1997 was something else. I haven’t seen any singer dominate an era like Sanu did. You know what makes Sanu’s domination even more special is the fact he didn’t need big banners or star cast to give hits. So many of his super hit gems are for low budget films. Udit became number one due to his association with big banners like Yash Raj. Big filmmakers like Yash Chopra Subash Gai Karan Johar stopped using Sanu despite him giving blockbuster hits for them in mid to late 90s. Sanu could have had two three more filmfare awards for DDLJ Pardes or HDDCS songs but tide had turned against him and he suffered as a result. Refugee songs getting dubbed was a blow that Sanu never recovered from. To make matters worse ARR never really used him and his peak coincided with Sanu’s demise. All in all we were deprived of more Sanu songs due to different reasons.

But I suppose Sonu Nigam has had the most brilliant yet commendable peak, he had the most challenging era of 2000 unlike the 90s limited singer decade, new singers were not welcomed in 90s like in 2000,, while Sonu dominated the early 2000 part, the mid 2000 till 2009 became more compitative due to acceptance of different singing of style even then in that tough market Sonu retained his position and has sung the biggest songs of those particular years, competing in a cut throat market and outshine is a bigger achievement then to sing under lessor compitative environment, I don't acknowledge awards much as many of them are just a tv show, anyone present in the audience will get, that is why Amir Khan bycoted filmfare, many of who won they won on mediocre songs, out of the best song in a nomination its happening since long time

Yes the mega success of sonu nigam stardom in 2000 was where Kumar sanu was almost lost , udit was neck to neck compitator for sonu till 2004 and then he also lost , while sonu was consistent till 2012 i guess before his tussle with t series in 2013 for illegal contracts many of sonu songs got dubbed due to company banned him in films like kick and main tera hero, heropanti etc, i still belive the way sonu had sung Har ek friend kameena hota hai from 2013 film chashme badoor kumar sanu or even udit narayan can't sing that way , udit and Shanu were crooners for romantic song while sonu nigam was a real classically trained singer

@@raazthemysterywithin5528 भारतीय सिनेमा जगत् के महान गायक ,सच्ची आवाज़ और जादू भरी आवाज़ के राजा उदित नारायण जी। एक ऐसा गायक जिनकी आवाज़ में ताजगी है यानी अंग्रेज़ी में बोला जाये तो fresh melody है। जिनकी आवाज़ सुनने के बाद मानो थकान खत्म हो जाती है । जब रोमांटिक ,प्यार, मोहब्बत के गाने गाते हैं तो फिर इनके सामने कोई भी गायक टिक नहीं पाता है। जब दर्द वाले गाने गाते हैं तो मुस्कुराती हुई आवाज़ के पीछे जो दर्द होता है वो सीधे हमारे दिल को छु जाता है। वैसे तो मोहम्मद रफ़ी साहब ,किशोर कुमार दा और मुकेश जी के बाद बहुत सारे पुरुष गायक आए मगर सारे गायकों के बारे में कहा गया कि ये किशोर दा की नकल करता है, ये रफी साहब की नकल करता है तो ये मुकेश जी की नकल करता है मगर एक मात्र गायक जो किसी भी गायक का नकल नहीं करता वो है उदित नारायण जी। रफी साहब के बाद सबसे खुबसूरत और साफ सुथरी आवाज़ उदित नारायण जी की आवाज है । 1988 से लगातार 2005-6 तक उदित नारायण जी ने राज किया, ये अलग बात है की बीच में कुमार सानू का दौर आया 1990-94 तक मगर उन 4-5 सालों में भी उदित नारायण जी द्वितीय स्थान पर जमे रहे ।और 1995 के बाद ऐसी छलांग लगाये कि फिर उदित नारायण जी को पकड़ पाना किसी भी गायक के लिए नामुमकिन सा हो गया था। 36 से भी ज्यादा भाषाओं में 25000 से भी अधिक गीत गाने वाले महान गायक उदित नारायण जी को भारतीय सिनेमा जगत् में महान योगदान के लिए 5 फिल्मफेयर, 4 राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार, पद्मश्री तथा पद्म भूषण जैसे पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया है । हम भगवान से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि उदित नारायण जी को लम्बी से लम्बी उम्र दे ताकि उनकी खुबसूरत आवाज़ मे नए नए नगमे हमलोग को हमेशा सुनने को मिले ।.

कुमार सानू का आवाज अचानक गला खराप हो गया 2003 से अगर आवाज और 3.4साल चलता कोई सिंगर चांस नहीं मिलता उदित नारायण तेरे नाम से नाम कमाया राजा फिल्म राज फिल्म कुमार सानू का था लेकिन छोर दिया था,,,, अगर आवाज 3साल चलता हिस्टरी बनता
