I had a friend of mine living in Colombo dating a girl in kadugannawa. The two met when my friend went on a trip to Nuwaraeliya. If I rememeber right they were seeing each others for over two years. Her parents got to know and were against it from happening as she was buddhist and my friend was muslim.He would go from Colombo to adugannawa literally every weekend to meet her. Suddenly, girls parents started looking for her and made her agree to marry the boy they found.

..... That was it. My friend started to do weed and stuff. I remeber seeing him drunk and teary singing this song over and over. Finally his father sent him to India where he found a bad company and started taking drugs. I get goose bumps when I remember how badly ruined his life was. This one from Kumarasiri is a beauty!

Some songs are so powerfull people get killed over love. Anybody remember Maduwanthi Gunawardana of Kelaniya University. She was a beutiful girl from udugampola Gampaha. She was stabbed to death, about 20 times by her boyfriend (former) in fron of the campus security hut. The guy then drank poison. He didnt die. He had wanted to sing "Nethata Hasuwana Mayime" song during his and Maduwanthi's funeral. Bottom line is some songs are SO POWERFUL!

Hay This is a true story.Here is the story....A guy sent this song in a letter to Kumarasiri and under PS- he wrote "when you get this letter,I may not live anymore".And Kumarasiri went to the sender and when he got to that guy's home,he suicided.And I think this song has a life of that guy.I wonder why Kumarasiri didn't make a video for this song!
