Kumho Crugen PH71 255 60 18 Review, if you don't want a bubble looking tire don't buy these!

Needed tires for the 2018 Toyota Highlander. It has 18 In Wheels. there are not may size options for 18 tires to match the stock size 245 60 18. I used tiresizecomparison.com to calculate the best tire size to up size to wider tire. The next size close to 245 60 18 was 255 60 18. Hard to find pictures of tires mounted on wheels to see what the Crugen tires would really look like. I am not real please with the look of these tires, too round like balloons. I think tire brand affect the real 255 measurement. to the average person and my wife sees no difference before or after, but i do. Not the look i was going for. The Look is Poor, but otherwise tires should function as good tire do. I do not think Toyota has 20s for Highlander but that is wat is needs to look right. if you don't want a bubble looking don't buy these

These tires are pavement focused tires, theyre designed to run nice down the road and not focùsed on being squared off on the endges like some a/t tires are, theres a big difference when you look into more offroad focused tires but a/t incase you have snow to deal with and im pretty sure youll get that look your after, i know what your getting at and i think that mY help you out, these tires main focus is to run down the road, take corners nice for people who are just crusing down the road not wanting to hear their tires sipping away at gas milage lol. Thats why you have to keep the oem size.. you put wider tires on a norrow rims of course its gonna look like a bubble.. maybe go for a wider rims so they will look a little flush on the sidewall.

lmao this guy is ridiculous. he has like 7 inch width rim and tries to put 255/60 on it then he complains it doesn't look "flush" and "squared" like on a sports car

Sounds like you wanted a sport tire but basically bought a touring tire instead ... the footprint is almost always narrower on a touring tire. The width of your stock wheels are not wide enough for that particular size tire ... I suggest going with aftermarket wheels (wider) wheels to get the stance you’re looking for ....

Its good man. The bubble helps protect the rim from curb rash. I have the same car. I agree, the outside of the tire will always wear down. Not sure why. All tires seem to work that way.

Did you check the tire manufacturer's website (Kumho) to see what the minimum recommended wheel width is for the tire size you wanted prior to purchase? It almost looks like your wheels aren't wide enough which is causing that rounded effect.

You need to understand what the numbers mean. If you buy wider tires (255mm > 245mm) and put on same wheel, then it will be more round. Thinner tires will give you a more square look.

They look like that because they are too wide for your wheels.

You went up a size with the same profile on the same wheels, so naturally you got a bit of a rounder look. What did you expect?

I was on the the same side as everyone commenting below, Got mine installed at the tire size I've always gotten from the oem size and they are "ballooned" a bit. These were totally built for curb protection in mind. Still kinda new under 50 miles and cold out so I can't get a good feel of them yet.
