Kunal Kemmu on Madgaon Express, Go Goa Gone | Kunal Kemmu Interview | Sadhika Sehgal Podcast

In today’s podcast, we have someone who has evolved from being one of the most impactful child actors to an underrated king of comedy, from being a vital character in the Golmaal franchise to now directing his own comedy film, Madgaon Express, Kunal Kemmu.
In a candid conversation with our host Sadhika Sehgal, Kunal talks about his trip to Australia, how people thought he had permanently shifted there and why he likes the country so much. He talks about his first international trip and what he was feeling throughout his journey and shooting outside the country for the first time for his movie, Kalyug.
He also talks about his boy's trip with industry friends like Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter and opens up about the shenanigans that happen on these trips, biking adventures and who ultimately pays the bill! He fondly recalls his college days, who his close friends are and some funny anecdotes from celebrating birthdays and giving treats.
With a “loaded question” Kunal describes male friendships as complex and meaningful bonds with people who know him well, adding they might not be the closest of the friends he has had but yet these bonds are the deepest. He also talks about how he actually spends time with his friends and how friendships are a real investment in life.
When asked “what is the meaning of life”, Kunal describes his own struggles through life and how he is one of the most relatable personalities from the industry because of his attitude towards life and hardships. Kunal also opens up about his biggest fear in our episode, how he is afraid of losing a part of him that he holds on so dearly and how he feels his talent is still underutilized in the industry.
He also talks about how thankful he is about the opportunities he has had and what he is looking forward to doing in the coming years.
While talking about opportunities, he also highlights how important it is to keep evolving your talent, whether in the form of picking up new skills or hobbies or trying something out of your comfort zone.
Kunal Kemmu talks about his career, from being a child actor in Raja Hindustani to pursuing different kinds of roles throughout his journey. He spills the beans on the new release date for Go Goa Gone 2 and his time on the sets of Golmaal. He talks about his co-stars, who is funniest amongst the crew, and his candid conversations with Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Rohit Shetty.
Kunal Kemmu shares his views on what it takes to make a marriage work, his relationship with Soha Ali Khan and how he feels one should be their real self in this reel world. He also shares his take on spirituality and meditation.
In our last leg of the episode, Kunal answers some interesting and curious questions by his fans and this is one of the most fun segments of the episode that you shouldn’t miss. With that being said Kunal reveals more about his upcoming conquests on the big screen and what’s coming next.

natural aam aadmi satirical vibe. Go Goa Gone was fun. His interviews on other platforms also seem very natural without pretense. Was pleasantly surprised by Guddu Ki Gun long time ago. Then he took it up a notch via family oriented comedy in Lootcase. First time in my life have I been influenced to see a movie because of the director's vibe alone in all promo interviews... Madgaon Express isn't great cinema but is more fun than anything passing for comedy this days. Simply put "this guy gets it"

Good conversation, the talk and questions are good. But the frequent edit cuts from master frame to Kunal and to host is very disturbing. It is distracting from the guest's insights. The video editor should just let Guest's frame stay as long as possible to engage with audience. Host's reaction on screen is not important for every sentence.
