Thats a hilarious interview, but I also think Conan is right with this one thing. Guys, don't read this, most of you won't care anyway ^^ Its a sad idea that they never sit down together and watch a film while and laugh together and try to convince each-over why the plot is so great or so boring... Sure it may sound old fashioned, but I think in every marriage, how modern and unconvential it might be, people fight. And they discuss things, that's communication. People who live together communicate, they fight. Couples don't always agree on the TV programm, ok, so they find a solution, like "tonight you choose tomorrow I will", or "let's zap in between the commercial breaks" or something. Thats what couples do, they find solutions, and compromises! But therefore you can't really be selfish, I guess.

I'm Indian [American], not Hindu though (atheist), and I really think that you are just perpetuating a needless stereotype. The arranged marriage thing is just a traditional practice there, as marriage was originally (worldwide, not just in India) a financial and moral link between two families more than it was an expression of love between individuals. They just never grew out of it, as ridiculous as it sounds. Kind of like how Americans never grew out of Christianity and it's ridiculosity :)
